I think he gets 30mm a year over 5 w/ 75 guaranteed.

My best educated guess is 4yr or 5yr deal, worth $24m a year, with $45m fully GTD at signing, and $65m total GTD, with incentives to get him higher, so 4yr/$96M, 5yr/$120m, or if 6yr/$142m.

If 4yr, his first 2 yrs base are fully gtd, 3rd and 4th on April 1st, if 5, first 3 are fully GTD, 4-5 April 1 GTD, plus per game roster bonuses, and workout bonuses are guaranteed to be included.
Would love for you to be right. You probably have the most educated guess in this thread.

That's $140 mil for 5 years. 28 mil a year. Guaranteed 85 mil with 60 mil fully guaranteed.

$140 million for 5 years is what I'm thinking, too. It wouldn't surprise me if the guaranteed amount is more than that, though, but $85 million seems like it is in the ball park.

That's not happening, $85M total GTD money would be a record, the highest for a player is $60.5M for Stafford, i can't see the 49ers being the team to break that, just won't happen, they never break their way, and they won't for 1 player, not even Garoppolo, no matter how good he is.

After looking at current deals, I'd readjust my APY to $25.5M a yr, just above Derek Carr's contract, same GTD money though.

Alex Smith just got 71mil guaranteed. We just don't know how much is fully guaranteed. 85mil guaranteed on the next 2 top qb contract wouldn't be surprising.

I want to wait and see what is truly considered guaranteed for Alex Smith's deal. Maybe in that range, but $85M would be a bit, it won't be fully that's for sure, no team will guarantee $85m at signing to anyone in the NFL.

I'm just trying to give insight on what I believe will happen, I just don't see the 49ers dishing out that kind of money, not when we have other needs, I don't see Jimmy being selfish, and greedy, we need to conserve cap room. I'm fine with $70m, but not fully, it's way way too risky.

This is the 49ers philosophy, small signing bonus up front, base guaranteed year 1, April 1 GTD dates in future years, and per game roster bonuses & Offseason workout bonuses.

I'm looking at Stafford's contract, it's already outrageous. Not sure how accurate the numbers for him on the site I visited.

92mil in GTD. 60mil signing bonus. Then he gets 5-6 mil each year roster bonus from 2018 to 2020. In 2021 and 2022 he gets 10mil roster bonus each year. The fully GTD is basically that 60mil signing bonus

Ok I see it, wow $92M GTD, that's accurate if it's on OTC.
