The throws he was making today, very impressive.
Agreed he stood tough despite being harassed by Clowney all day long , learned from Brady no doubt

And falling.
I doubt we beat the jags but I can see us beating the lambs and titans
Not the lambs. They're aren't the same team we played last year.
We should have beat them earlier THIS Year. We got screwed with a bogus offensive PI call. They are beatable.
Totally agree empire, take Gurley away from Goff and Goff is very average, is why I want a pass rusher on this team asap

Anyone have any more learned analysis to throw my way?
Me too
But he doesn't know playbook and not in sync with WR yet
Seriously? He was getting killed by that pass rush and was STILL dropping dimes. We have a sorry @ss group of receivers and you're questioning the guy who led us on 5 straight scoring drives? Okay...

I think with the impressive showing of Goodwin to go along with Garcon it minimizes the need for a #1 WR in the first round. With zero need now for a QB to go along with this, the Niners can truly focus on pass rusher, LB, CB, and OL in both free agency and the draft.
I agree. I think WR has to be addressed but it isnt as big of a priority as the OL, edge rusher and LBs in particular. Give Jimmy time in the pocket and he will make the throws.
That's BS. He had time in the pocket at times today and none of the WRs were open nor could they compete with the DBs. In other words, it didn't matter even if the O-line could block on those few downs today. Jimmy had absolutely no one to go to.
No.1 WR is the most urgent need if you want to put points on the board and win games.
lol wrong. If you dont have a solid OL you cant run or pass consistently. Everyone knows that.

Phoenix has a good point. If you give a guy like Jimmy 4 seconds in the pocket every time - he can turn guys like Goodwin into hall of fame players. I'm all for drafting or getting FA Jerry Rice 2.0, but Montana and Young had their careers shortened or ended by guys like Jim Burt, Leonard Marshal, and a RB that didn't pick up the blitz.

Seriously!!! Geez it just doesn't stop. Question our crap ass WR core. Two deep balls should have been caught. Goodwin 1 on 1 make a freaking play but no size. Josh Gordon makes that catch. Or he will next year. Lol. Hyde just sux. I would be ok with him as a #2 RB. To many concentration lapses.

We are talking specifically about deep plays that require tremendous timing. Stay on topic.

New England is the perfect example. Other than Randy Moss how many star #1 WRs has Tom Brady had to throw to? However, he has always had a great line to protect him and because of that made guys like Hogan , Edelman, Welker, and Amendola look pretty damned good.
