He is already exposed by being on the PS. Any team can sign him at any time as long as they sign him to their active roster.
I think they want to keep him from going over the practice squad limit for games being on a roster. Once he is over 6 games on the roster, he would take one of the four spots designated for that. They probably want to be able to evaluate him for another offseason.

agree, lynch did a good job signing a couple of half way decent guys. i guess right now halfway decent is all you can expect
