Keep in mind Jed York is a business man, he is not a football man, he cares about ROI

When did Jed York become a "business man"? He's some kid who inherited a football team.

He's making money because he essentially got a recession proof business handed to him for free. And Harbaugh helped him make even more. Dude was born into the right family, and him and his piece of s**t parents struck gold when Uncle Eddie got hemmed up
Love you Eddie D. Candlestick Pride

I beg to differ on that. Loved it when it was first announced, but so far in year one, they've done nothing to prove that York has done "the right thing".
Unless, of course, CJ Betheard ends up being a blue chip caliber player.

Or they are not interested in blowing their load all at once. The football guys are making the football decisions not the owner. They are carrying out their vision of how they want to build the team. If some in the fan base don't understand now, fair enough. They will when the team becomes elite again. But you're right that Jed is a businessman and as a businessman a successful product is good for the bottom line. In that light assuming he deliberately is trying to deliver a bad product doesn't qualify as a rational or reasonable conclusion to come to.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand anything about football or finance for that matter.
Sadly, the only reason we know of this guy is because of his famous uncle.
Excluding the 3+ "lucky years" with Harbaugh, this team has been a disaster for close to 15 years.

Don't quite get this thread. Many have been saying for a long time that the York Family cared about how good this Team was until Levi's Stadium was complete. The moment they got everything approved and completed, they stopped caring about a quality product and the quality deteriorated.
This has always been a money issue, and the 49ers MAY WELL BE one of the perennial "Worst teams" in the NFL until the York's decide or are forced to sell the Team.
Sorry - reality sucks.

I think they are on the right path. The last two years were a disaster but this year is looking better. The team is competitive and making strides. We all need a reality check and realize that it was going to be a tough year. We aren't going to the playoffs!!! We spent money smart and in the right spots. The next two years will be better.

I haven't given York any thought this season.
I'm of the opinion something is actually happening to improve the Niners. They could go 0-16 and I'd still believe that.
But that's just my 2 cents.

As a long time fan , this is what's freaking me out
A) 0-16 is on the table
B) It's O.K

Meh...let him go play with a winning team. We owe him that.
We aren't going anywhere this year so we're doing him a favor
