Do you think we will see a vigorous off season?

Facts = b***hing?
And I have no idea what your pt is either? You were complaining about THIS FO not spending money their first off season....imo I don't think it's smart to blow your load the 1st chance you get as a GM, especially in a poor FA class.
This thread is about the lack of spending by the 49ers and where it has gotten them. This is a post about the Yorks and the state of the 49ers.
You mentioned the new FO and how this year will be different and I responded that it was yest to be seen.

but they spent over $130 million in new contracts...that's not spending money. They just happen to have a f**k ton of money left over because Baalke never signed anyone, we lost 14 good starters, and didn't drafted well enough to resign his own.

There is no need for a "but" here.

sure there is because it proves the whole thread wrong, along with your comment (which is what I was commenting on to begin with) on the whole "SF didn't spend any money" and "We've already seen what this FO can do in a off season" BS.
I could careless if they spent money two yrs ago with a different FO...if you think Jed has the final say in all football moves then more power to you, personally I think it was Baalke that was the tight wad. He's even on record saying he doesn't like to spend money on top FA because you have to over pay.
I'm looking at who's currently running the show and they did spend money in the off season and from the looks of it will be doing more this upcoming off season.

My comment was and is: "The 49ers spend less money than any team in the NFL." That is what you are calling BS and here is a link showing that it is not BS:

Go ahead and call those figures BS.

Are you saying we should overpay ?

And that's not the comment I'm talking about....I'm referring to the "we've already seen what this FO can do in a off season" which is spend over $130 million in new contracts. Who were all the stud FAs that we missed out on this yr anyway? People just assume that we can just sign whomever we want as well (like there isn't 31 other teams) lol...takes two to tango in free agency.

Most teams that have a ton of cap space aren't good because they've drafted poorly and don't resign anyone...that's what happened to SF along with the losing of players because of early retirement or whatever the f**k happened with kap. That magically freed up a buttload of money and Baalke kept it right in his pocket.

I am saying the money spent on payroll is reflected in the lack of talent on the roster and the w-l record.

idk how someone can try to spin it as something bad when the past regime has no affect today

All of these future contract money with the Niners and Giants is BS. Paraag is the master of making contracts look big, but in reality they have little guaranteed money with lots of outs. The fact is the Niners had lots of cap room this year, next year, the year after, and in 2015, 2016, get my point..... They are choosing to make a tidy profit and reap the rewards of shared revenue......
Facts are facts, they have 62 million in cap space this year and 90 million in 2019

Drafting well is a reason you keep cap space. Because drafted players are locked in to 4-5 year cheaper deals than what you pay for FA. You draft 7-10 players a year on avg and maybe land a couple key FA.
The past regime is the reason we lost all our good coaches and players. Then played musical coaches and players for three years. It played a major affect on what our team looks like today.
We won't know if Lynch/Kyle can fix what the past regime screwed up for prob another 1-2 years. A major factor will be who the QB is next season.
