The offense moved the ball early with quick release passes and Hyde runs. But penalties galore stopped them. Then they had to play from behind with fewer runs and longer QB setups and Hoyer/OL/WR aren't good enough for that. And the team fell apart.

I don't know what year he did it I was born in 78. I just know he did it. I read an article with Montana talking about it. I thought it made sense and don't know why more teams don't do that with young QBs.
Totally with you there, though Montana wasn't too fond of that process when Walsh did it with Young.
Walsh did that with Young??? I know he rotated them which Joe hated and he should of because he is the greatest QB of all time. I didn't think he rotated them specifically in the red zone though.

Panthers oline wasn't going to let Cam get hurt with that shoulder, their oline was solid... cawks oline is crappy so maybe we have a chance to keep it low scoring and not lose by 30 points (hopefully). Our secondary doe

Hoyer has no choice to air it out all day, while the Panthers just drop into coverage everytime. Our guard play is so awful, we'll never be able to establish a running game.

at least when you blitz on defense it give the illustion of some type of pressure...possibly creating some confussion .....rushing 4 over and over was dumb ....it was too obvious....Cam didnt get rattled and even had a bad day passing....wonder if we would have rushed 5 or 6 guys what would have happened....

Indeed! And remarkable that Hoyer wasn't carted off. Our D could've been better if they weren't constantly on the field
