You mean the guy who is considered to be the #1 WR in the draft is better than our #4 WR who was undrafted last year?

No way!!

Garoppolo isn't built to take a lot of hits and has already suffered one serious injury during his short career. I don't get why so many of you are happy with protecting him with 1st round busts. With our current line, JG is bound to get hit A LOT.

You make too much sense. Therefore, youre going to get ridiculed on here.

More of an exaggerated opinion than sense. The OL didn't look bad when they had a real NFL QB behind them. Plus we already got a huge upgrade in the middle.

He was getting crushed by DL running full speed by our OL just whiffing routinely. That can't continue all season.

He was sacked 8 times in 5 games, I mean yeah even less would be great but he wasn't getting "hit routinely", people are acting like he was getting hit on every play. I'd bet it was around the average of all QB's.

Idk. It seemed like he had a lot of traffic around him a lot. Maybe not getting hit all the time but definitely traffic and with his quick release thats alarming. Have to imagine as they add more of the playbook that there is going to be more longer developing plays that his quick release wont be as helpful

8 times in 5 games isn't great and he was taking blows after getting rid of the ball. He has a super fast release otherwise the sack total would be higher. Bottom line is we need to shore up the soft soft soft soft middle.
The Rams are busy signing all-pros at every position while we're sitting here doing nothing wondering if a UDFA wr with 250 career yards can step up for us. Having a lot of question marks and needing a lot of guys to step up and take on roles that they haven't shown to be capable of are not the signs of a good team!
4.55s on his pro day.

Yeah, that killed him. He was projected as a 5th or 6th rd pick and that combine 40 time knocked him out of the draft.

In the words of Pete Carroll, "what is your deal?" It's the second year of what is turning out to be an almost total rebuild of the team. The Front Office has made a number of moves to address what they felt were issues last season. Almost all of the players they drafted or signed in free agency ended up contributing in some way last year. Bourne, Taylor, Kittle, Garcon, Goodwin, Fusco, Juscyzk, Paul, Tomlinson, Foster, Williams, Breida, Witherspoon, Gould, Colbert, Coyle, Magnuson and Beathard, that's a pretty comprehensive list. Fusco is gone but everyone else now has a year more of experience in this system and the rookies have had an opportunity to learn what is required of them to play at and NFL level. In that group are a number of potential studs and solid role players. They got rid of players who weren't a good fit for the system, or were proving to be weak links in the chain. Hyde, Kilgore, Johnson and I assume Logan Paul. They made specific tangible moves to shore up what almost everyone agreed were their two weakest spots, the offensive line and the cornerbacks. They now have three high draft picks competing for the two guard positions, guys who perhaps haven't lived up to their expectations yet but were considered strong players coming out of college. Will they be able to realize some of that potential this year? Who knows but all you do is come in here and piss on everything that is being done by the team before any of it has even had a chance to play out. And they haven't had the draft yet. Seems like the Doom Squad has its newest charter member and I will have one less space on my blocked posters list. Go Niners!!
If he stays healthy—breakout year 2018

Last I checked we already have a better group of WR's than the rams. All-Pro's at every position???
Not a single person here thinks Bourne will make or break this offense. Every team has young guys that flash potential and have the fans hoping they are the next late round/udfa diamond. Locking up your FQB=Doing nothing..... dear god .
Such a bamf name too

Would love for him to be our Doug Baldwin...and draft our Antonio Brown this year.
