Like walker stated it's all about being quick in the slot. He can play (lead the FBS last yr with 1,800 136 catches and 12 TDs). He's also our best 3rd down receiver. Go look at the top slot guys in the NFL (edelman/baldwin/landry) none of them are burners. I'll take a WR that can get open vs out run someone all day.

also go look at Gabriel's stats this yr compared to Taylor's they're damn near the same and Gabriel has Matt Ryan throwing him the ball, plus Julio getting focused on....gonna pass on him

This he's a great route runner, has great hands. They need to get him the ball more.

This. I also want RBs that are around the 5'10" 205 range or McCaffry type who can act as WR's. Let the big WR's punish the DB's and the RBs that can run hard and catch punish the LB's.

You just described Akrum Wadley.

Except Wadley is only 170 pounds...

Except he's not.

Kirk Ferentz said he was up to 190 lbs before the college season began.

Gabriel and Trent have different skill sets. Essentially if we bring in Gabriel on board then Shanny is gonna incorporate more 4 WR sets. If hes not down with that then well probs pass and go for more of an outside WR .
Nice game young man

OR we just draft a WR and stop this nonsense about bringing in taylor.

We still don't have a stud red zone threat

The red zone would open up A LOT more if we could run outside zone with any sort of consistency. Defenses would have to respect the run, and you'd have easy throws all day from bootleg keepers.

It is a issue without question...at some point you gotta have that guy that your qb trusts to go up and get it.

...and this is the reason why I wanted us to trade for WATKINS....instead, he went to the RAMS..
