Yeah we haven't had QBs this bad on our roster since the Ken Dorsey/ Tim Rattey years.

I'll take Kap over Hoyer any day.

I guarantee he doesn't last as starter. Hurt or bench for sure.

I'm a huge Kaep fan, but I wouldn't take Kaep over Hoyer in Kyle's system. Kaep would be really lost in all the reads he has to automatically make before he even reaches the LOS. He'd drive Kyle insane by not going through his progressions and staying in the pocket.

I agree. Kaep is a good QB, outstanding talent, but won't fit very well with Kyle's offense that requires pocket discipline and the ability to stay patient and read the defense. One reason I think we'll have better production from the QB position is we have more depth at RB. A strong run game is the QB's best friend. We also have more talent at WR than last year, simply because this years GM went out and got some decent ones. Kaep doesn't know the offense as well as Hoyer and would have been no better than being behind Barkley (who's worked with Kyle's type of offense in the past). The system Kyle wants to install eliminates Kaeps run dimension by requiring Kaep to stay in the pocket and that is one of Kaep's biggest attributes, and his biggest weakness is the ability to read the defense and make the throw to the 3rd and 4rth options, and in my opinion, it would take Kaep *years* to get comfortable in Kyle's system. Even though this years QB's are physically inferior to Kaep, they are way ahead of him in terms of familiarity with the offense.

Not everyone understands like you do my friend. Some on here actually think Hoyer is a good QB capable of winning 6-7 games.

I echoed this earlier in the thread. Hoyer is here because the free agent pool sucked, draft was devoid of talent and it was finally time to move on from Kap with his kneel down stuff. But Hoyer isn't close to the talent Kap is.

Hoyer will sputter quickly in '17.

You dufus, Hoyer and the Browns went 7-9 with Shanahan. That was with the Browns. If you knew anything you would know to keep your mouth shut.

And just to correct you, clown, Hoyer went 7-6 with cleveland and was benched the final 3 games in favor of Johnny Manziel. One more time...BENCHED FOR JOHNNY MANZIEL. Play declined with each passing week in 2014 and was benched.

Don't forget that the only time he was in a playoff game the dude put up exactly ZERO points.

Depends on the protection they get and the play-calling.

A strong run game and quick pass plays will go a long way to assist in their performance.

If a Tackle or Guard go down, Beadles/Fusco/Gilliam duke it all out. If Zu goes down,Kilgore slides back over to C and Beadles/Fusco fight for the Guard spot. I'm not worried, but I'm not acting like it's a a guaranteed top ten line.

Yeah, injuries. I hate injuries happening to any player, ours or the opponent. But if injuries were to occur, I'd rather have an O Lineman go down than one of our RB's. If we can keep Carlos and Joe Williams healthy, that will go a long way to having a productive run game, and helping our QB's have a productive passing game.

Offensive Line is where we are most vulnerable.

If the QB gets hit or doesn't have enough time then the ability of everyone else doesn't matter.

Benched AGAINST Kyle Shanahan's wishes, leading to him making a power point at the end of the season to request he be let out of his contract.

Kap is a much better athlete than Hoyer.

Hoyer is a better QB.

Safety because ward is new at FS at this level and he is playing probably the most critical spot in this defense. We will have a new SS playing a different role as well.

To me its TE group. O-Line is a close 2nd., TE tho' b'cuzz the 3 incumbents, have basically 3 challengers lined up. Its as if Shanny is ready to flush; Mac., Celek, and Bell in 1 fail swoop ! As for O-Line, I think it clears up with a move that should have already been made and 'should' be made soon- Put Garnet back at LG, where he was a star in college and why we drafted him- and cut Beadles and his ridiculous contract, age, and 'Baalke Approved' status.
