Hope these guys are not just tryouts.
In reality practice squad is their most likely option but there's enough potential there to see where it develops.

I don't see Ellington making this squad, regardless of what we just added though UDFA. Ellington is toast, and Burbridge might be gone with Smelter as well. I would like to see if Rogers can make the squad, because he's got some talent, but if he gets cut as well, no big deal.

FO is making it clear they want their guys on the roster, and if you were part of the old regime, you are either getting cut or you better be ready to fight for your roster spot. I like the no mercy approach, too many positions held up in limbo because players got comfortable with doing the bare minimum to make the roster. NOT ANYMORE!

Between FA and the draft there's going to be a lot of last years players who will need to fight hard for their spot or find a new team/job.
Competition brings out the best in some and those are the guys we'll be looking for I imagine.
