A couple hours later, victory in Philadelphia was secured. A new piece of 49ers…

The win helps but man this injury crushed me.
Doubt we see George next year and if we do it will be maybe late season and hopefully playoffs and doubtful he will be close to his usual self.
Hate it for him so much and for us…

I've been bummed pretty much since it happened.
George is my favorite player (hell, we named our damn cat, Kittle and believe me, it's a fitting name) and to see that happen hurt.

It's so weird seeing him get hurt on a soft play when he plays with such brute force all the time. I'm doubtful we see him any time soon and I think we may never see him again with the niners. Hope I'm wrong though.

That's a lot of weight placed on that right leg when he tried to brace himself.

Probably a matter of time at that point. Get healthly and finish out your career on a high point!

An honor to have on the team and very much an honor to have met him briefly. I contained my excitement as he signed my jersey..but when he left, I totally lost it lol.
Most friendly and brightest smile I have seen. Solid guy, just an honor-we all love ya, Kittle
Get well soon

Dr. Brian Sutterer has a really good video on YouTube explaining what happens when you tear your Achilles.
Warning, it does zoom in on his ankle right when his Achilles snaps, so if you're a bit squeamish, I'd avoid watching it.

They're not going to cut him, his cap hit is to high (his dead cap for 2026 is $41 million).
They do have an out for 2027, but I doubt they'll let him go.

Definitely not doing that. I could see a restructure to create mire cap space for 2026 before I see them letting him go.

How can they? He is literally the heartbeat of the offense.
He will restructure.

Jed will work with him. He's the one Niner I can't imagine them doing anything on without his full consent. He's been amazing On and off the field for them since day 1. Owners actually appreciate that stuff.

Kittle is a great player, but let's be honest, he's always getting injured. He gets injured so much you think he's reaggravating a previous injury when in fact it's something totally different new.
I think this year it went hamstring - ankle - achilles.
I think the 49ers should move on from Kittle and try something new. Yes he's an inspirational leader but we need to win too!
