Huge George Kittle fan here and been so since day 1

I'd he big enough to be a "gronk"?
I mean gronk straight overpowers DBs.

Killtle seems to be more shifty and crafty in his routes

Lets not get too ahead of ourselves....Gronk is a HOF calibur TE....I'd be happy if Kittle cracks the top 10 for the next dozen years.

Props to the kid. He certainly appears more explosive the healthier he got.

This. A full offseason program will do wonders for this guy no doubt. Great fit for this offense

If SF does decide to add a playmaker via trade, Redskins TE Jordan Reed is a name to watch. Kyle drafted him in 2013 & Reed was a monster in 2015 - 87/952/11 TD. Washington is frustrated with his injury history and $8 million salary per year. 49ers have two 3rd round picks

Love this. Moving Kittle to a #2 role is ideal allowing a legit red zone playmaker with Shanahan experience take the lead.

I would swap 3rd round picks with them but I wouldn't give them a whole 3rd round pick for an often injured TE and pay his salary. That's just stupid.

Why not sign someone like Trey Burton instead who would be less, has some upside, and wouldn't cost us a draft pick?

Kittle " Sweet Corn " has already made more great catches in his rookie year than Davis' career !!

I know krizay will agree 100% on this. Many debates over the years on Vernon Davis

I am not saying he is as good as Gronk or the player he is, I am just saying he could be Jimmy G's Gronk is this offense. Meaning he will have an important role.
Love Kittle's progress and as much as I'd like to go after the top TE, but there are other needs. I think on offense, the offseason goal is to improve the Oline, get another receiver, and maybe another RB. I put drafting a TE up there with drafting a tackle or safety high- it's a 2019 problem.

He might be the answer long term. Kid had 515 receiving yards and a 12.0 YPC avg with three different QB's throwing him the ball as a rookie. He was also injured at some point in the middle of this season that limited him physically.
We have some solid TEs. Celek is 6'5" and should be used more in the Red Zone.
my draft crush proving me to not be crazy for thinking this tweener could do something

agree. if we can find a nice rookie in the latter half of the draft or a respectable free agent. bring them, in.. its nice that tight end is not in our top list. in my opinion, of needs
