Personally, the way Kittle's trajectory is, I think he's as good an offensive weapon as we've had since Jerry Rice. T.O. had issues with Mooch, his QB, and the front office, Kittle doesn't.

These guys are the best of the best, they want to win...if it was just about money he would have gotten traded to Minn who already had a extension laid out for him.

And in no way is something like 3yrs $45M taking a discount...we gotta go down this road again lol.

Name a player that was 33 that reset the market at his position (outside of QB)?

So if say the Jags give him 3 yrs $51M and SF gives him 3 yrs $45M he's gonna play for the Jags? I don't believe that for a sec....also before you assume Kittle's APY is just gonna be $15M per, let's just wait a min on that I doubt his cap hit is gonna be some monster hit yr 1 into his deal...it would be the same for Trent in 2021 as well.

No state income tax in Florida.....

For 8 games. You get taxed based on where you play that week

Unlike our guys, their players seem much more willing to accept team friendly deals. If you instill the values of selflessness and a team-first mentality into your franchise, it's possible to find ways to keep your best players. Plus, it probably helps having Mahomes and therefore players knowing that they'll win several Super Bowl rings over the next 3-5 years if they stay.

Why are you trolling?

Huh, what is he trying to say? Kittle didn't take a team friendly deal? only $40M if GTD, $30M FGTD, other $10M injury GTD. Mahomes signed a f**king 10yr extension, Jones didn't even get a signing bonus, we have no idea what Kelce's deal looks like, plus he had 2yrs left on his deal. Also in 2021 their committed salaries is over $200M already.

Plus most of our long term deals have been team friendly, Jimmy, Dee, Kwon, Richburg, AA, Ward, Sherman, Juice, etc... So our guys do take team friendly deals.

Had Kittle at 14M to begin with but dropped it to 13M as the wait went on longer. All in all I am surprised he got 15M. Good for him. His presence on this team is stronger than anyone else's.

No one should be surprised at how much he got, he's the best offensive player on the team, he deserved to shatter the TE market. I thought in the $16M to $17M a yr range was fair, after what AA got as a DE, being Kittle is a better TE than AA is a DE.

Basically been saying the same numbers for a while now, I think it's a great deal for both. Kittle destroys the TE market, gets top 10 WR numbers with FGTD and total $.

We be interesting to see how they structure everything, that's one of the reasons I don't care much about APY when looking at total and yrs. it's never as it seems.
Since webzone won't let me include an e-slap to anyone who thinks Kittle isn't deserving of the contract he got...Here's a reminder of why he is

Check that thread out. Kittle is worth every penny.

Oh yeah Kittle's worth every penny, the people who say he's not are crazy. They probably were to ones saying to trade him. SMDH.

I know they were in the minority but seeing crap like that really pissed me off as a 49ers fan. Like if you can't root to keep a guy like Kittle then wtf are you even doing? I get the point that sometimes too much money is too much money but I saw tweets that were basically like he's not even that good, it's all Kyle ship his ass out and replace him.

Kittle basically got the same deal as Jarvis Landry...just ask people who they'd rather have lol. FWIW I love me some Landry, but he rarely if ever plays on the outside as well.

Great deal for both sides. We got Kittle for the next 6 seasons.

why do I feel like this isn't that hard? 15M a year blows the TE market out of the water and pays him like a very good WR. Paraag may choke on it, but it is going rate for goats of the current game these days (cuz you just set it).

Could have saved us all a lot of angst if Paraag had just hit me up in May.

6 seasons? I thought they ripped up this years contract and replaced it with the new one? That means we got him for the next 5 years, correct?

Wasn't his deal a 5 year extension, hence the word extension. So this year plus the 5 equals 6
