Think I remember hearing from NFL network or ESPN draft team on draft day that Kittle would have been a 3rd pick in any other draft but drop to tha 5th round because this draft was do deep at TE....

This is also the NFL not the NBA...you need to field 53 guys 22 starters....they are not all going to be 1st round picks. Talent also slips every year in the draft and it doesn't define the player or ability. If it did we wouldn't have this debate on the GOAT between a 3rd round and 6th round pick.

Yup. Jordan Howard was picked in the 5th last year with a bunch of RBs before him. And he was arguably better than Zeke who was number 4 and had a monster year
Gonna start calling Kittle Lil'Gronk Honestly I just thought about it, I hope Kittle emerges as a "#1" and gets some hype cause then Vance will be super under the radar with the rest of the offense on the field and eat up his matchup. Think Delanie Walker with VD around. Sometimes your second guy on the depth chart gets the stats and I'm okay with that.

lol. i will say he had a bad quarterback,. bad head coach and bad oc but still managed to be respectable for iowa. he is fastly becoming the nate davis torch bearer

Don't you EVER get tired of being wrong and making an ass out of yourself? You continue season after season to show that you have no clue as to what constitutes a good head coach or quarterback. Change your damn user name and get Iowa the F off there. You're pissing me off and making the rest of us look bad.
did you see iowa play last year? did you see cj? did you see how s**tty the Oc was and how bad ferentz was? if you did,. then cc said nothing wrong. the highlight of a iowan is the state fair and telling people they can actually hear the corn grow at night. we do not need much help in looking bad!
About how many TEs we end up with, I'd guess 3 or 4. Falcons had 2 in their 53 man in 2015. And 4 TEs in their 2016 53 man.

7 WR in 2015
6 wr in 2016

Although they had 2 QBs both years as opposed to the 3 we're gonna have this year. So that will be a factor

I got 3 QB,3 RB,1 FB, 6 WR,9 OL,3 TE. We could easily shave one OL and add to RB/TE.

That sounds about right. WR seems like it's gonna be a real tough decision for them. It's hard to really know who to pick till they're in actual gameplay.

Im shaving off a an OL and adding another TE. Guys like Zu and Kilgore can play G/C. Beadles can play all 3 and Gilliam as backup T.

WR will be tough..and theres still a chance that WR isnt on this roster yet. Kerley was a late starting addition.

With the money Olinemen are making in F/A these days I think it's more important to keep a young project to develop there than an extra TE.

I think we'll lean heavily on the running game and rely on the TE's and RB's in the blocking and passing game. Play action and short safe hitters and then capitalize deeper when we can. As a result, we'll need more TE's and RB's over WR's.

My guess:
QB: Brian Hoyer; C.J. Beathard & Matt Barkley
RB1: Carlos Hyde; Kapri Bibbs
RB2: Joe Williams; Matt Breida
OW: *Kyle Juszczyk; *George Kittle
TE: Vance McDonald; Logan Paulsen
XWR: Pierre Garçon; Marquise Goodwin
YWR: Jeremy Kerley; Trent Taylor
ZWR: Aldrick Robinson
LOT: Joe Staley
LG: Joshua Garnett; Zane Beadles
C: Jeremy Zuttah; Daniel Kilgore
RG: Brandon Fusco; Tim Barnes
ROT: Trenton Brown; Gary Gilliam

Good point. As did NC make since we will be running a lot. Kinda forgot Kilgore has had some injuries so we should play it safe.

Yeah tough calls. Kyle kept 9 OL last year. Given our history, I'm guessing we keep 9 again esp. because they want to try as many combinations until they find the best 5 plus depth. Do we really need 6 WR's? Return ability will play into this...Bibbs, Kerley, Taylor, etc.

How many will be active on game day?

Some tough calls.

I'd love to see CJ and Kittles emerge together.

I go with 6 WRs cause i feel Kyle is gonna wanna groom a project..if Taylor shows enough Kerley can be gone next year. Robinson and goodwin arent locks for next year so thats where my head is at,on paper someone with size would be nice. How many WR did Kyle have active last year?
