My guess is that Kittle, McDonald and Celek all make the team and that they all play a lot.

I would be surprised if Celek makes the team over Paulsen. You generally want your 3rd TE to be a strong blocker and that is pretty much all Paulsen has going for him.

This. Celek seems like the odd man out. McDonald still has excellent speed for a TE and a contract that is harder to cut.

This guy, I think, can be a genuine superstar in the NFL with a good quarterback to throw to him.
And it is not just me who thinks so, some other good judges like the way he operates and gets open.

You see what Kyle said about Celek today? He was looking into him for the Falcons and liked what he saw before the niners extended him. Kinda surprised by that, he had some crucial drops.

I think Paulsen gets cut IMO unless Celek is traded. Paulsen,Coyle,Watson IMO are guys that help teach the system and you kind of want getting beat out for better overall talent. Anyways don't curr about #3 TE arguments lol.

Paulson is not going anywhere. That's Shanny's guy. He knows the system and will be our blocking tight end specialist

What is interesting is that I haven't heard a peep from McDonald. Is he fully recovered?
