if Kittle has a less impressive full year with jimmy G next year?

Typical Webzone logic.

Closer to other options next year >> other options this year.
Bourne, Pettis, healthy Goodwin, Taylor, Celek, & McKinnion

Maybe even more clock killing next year.

I could easily see that happening.

Mullens has seemed to force the ball to Jimmy a bit.

I remember early on Elvis Garbac just flat FORCED the ball to Jerry, Jerry got LIT UP once or twice getting the ball in the wrong spots...Garbac got that cleared up pretty quick.

Mullens did much better then any of us have a right to expect considering the lack of skill players and protection at times.

I do suspect Kittle could even get more RAC when the rest of the offense becomes at least average.

Something to celebrate in an otherwise depressing season, great to see everyone get behind him, the team know who they are at this point, but they keep fighting for each other and enjoying any success they can get.

Kittle is awesome, but he benefited from having a roster full of average WRs. So if Kittle has less catches and yards next year and the receivers have better years, how does your theory make sense?

Lol. No.

It stands to reason Kittle benefited from Jimmy being out because Jimmy may have spread the ball around a lot more than BeatHard and Mullens did. Those two tended to focus only on Kittle at times because they weren't comfortable with the other options, especially Mullens. Jimmy has more confidence and has an obvious connection with Goodwin, which might take targets away from Kittle. Plus, I would expect Lynch and Shanahan to upgrade the WR position and a lot more passes will be going to the RB position when McKinnon is back, so I wouldn't expect another monster season for Kittle moving forward. I do expect him to be near the 1,000 yard mark annually, but closing in on 1,400 every year shouldn't be expected.

Hard to compare Brent to these guys, Brent played real football when you could actually get hit.

I think all three are great 49ers, but Kittle sure came out of no where. Seems like just yesterday he couldn't catch and now he's the record holder.

Although the NFL law of averages says this one could be just about it, makes one wonder which other guys that get written off from these first two Shanny/Lynch drafts will find their place after a rough start. Hard to top Kittle, but patience may prove there's a couple more.

Unfortunately today's NFL doesn't work that way. Players don't get 3-5 years to develop ala Steve Young.
The man reminds me of a young Brent Jones, who just steamrolled opponents, or outran them.
