The Niners of the 80's and early 90's showed this. But the Warriors benefitted greatly being the only team in town...even when they sucked.

The Raiders final game in Oakland was Dec. of 1981.

The Raiders first game back in Oakland was Sept. of 1995.

The 49ers won their 1st SB in Jan. of 1982.

The 49ers won their 5th SB in Jan. of 1995.

Weve technically never won while the Raiders were in Oakland, so now we'll go back into dynasty mode with the Bay to ourselves.

I don't see the Raiders' leaving as hurting the Niners in any way. It does shift the west coast NFL further south, but as some have pointed out, they can play each other every preseason to cut down on the traveling. The Niners were the only team in the Bay Area for @ 15 years before Al Davis put roots down in Oakland. They'll be missed, no doubt, but it's not like they're that far away. It's an hour + flying time from SF to LV. I actually think the Raiders being in LV is good for the NFL and in particular, the AFC West. It sucks for Oakland, and that's the real downer in this entire relocation. I feel for ya, Raiders fans. I really do.
