Initial thought is that it's a knee sprain, per Kyle. ACL appears to be intact. More tests needed.

Hoping for good news, he's still an important piece of this offense
nasty hit to the knee
Blows that he likely won't be on the field against Seattle, but good to hear that they think it's a knee sprain.
Those low hits at the knees should be out of the game. I know we can't ban everything, but those hurt a lot of players.

It's a byproduct of forcing defenders to not hit players in the head

So players only have legs and head?

Come on.

At some point this has to be football or flag.

I teach my kids to go for hips but at high speed with a million combinations of body positions this just isnt an easy flip of the switch.
It looked like a knee sprain. Terrible and painful. But they said the ACL stuff checked out ok. Usually they can tell that just from physical manipulation. Obviously you get more on an MRI tomorrow. I would guess he's out several weeks. As that injury is painful. But not surgery and season ending. Just a guess right now based on what they told us and how it looked on screen.
at the game they didn't show the replay, was it bad?

It definitely bent backwards. Pretty bad. But sometimes a bad sprain can do that. I would guess there is not a tear but I don't know that for sure. I don't think he's out for the season. But the MRI will tell us more tomorrow. I think it's a bad sprain. Which is better than a tear.

He dove at his legs to up end him and his helmet hit square on his right knee. His leg went from bent knee to straight knee, with perhaps a very slight hyperextension, but fortunately no bending the wrong way that I could see. Almost certainly a bone bruise and a sprain/strain, hopefully nothing more.
Might've dodged a bullet. Get well Juice!
