Grading the Assistant Coaches

Quarterbacks Coach - Rich Scangarello can't say I know alot about him but Shannahan pulled him out of a small school. Does have NFL experience. I'd give it a C Running Backs Coach - Bobby Turner great track record and familiar with the system. A Tight Ends Coach/Assistant Head Coach - Jon Embree was great with the bucks and helped a young TE Excel. I belive he's familiar with the system A Offensive Running Game Coordinator - Mike McDaniel the reccuring theme here, familiar with system. B Wide Receivers Coach - Mike LaFleur see above. Well respected it seems B Defensive Coordinator - Robert Saleh not good. Only reason it's not an F is because he was involved with Seattles defense and it's not coming coordinators. D Outside Linebackers Coach/Sr. Defensive Assistant - Jason Tarver a known commodity, coordinator experience, and respected coach. A Secondary Coach - Jeff Hafley did good with our young DBs last year. C Defensive Line Coach - Jeff Zgonina worked with a great giants d line that should help him alot. My favorite hire on defense. A Special Teams Coordinator - Richard Hightower Kyle hooking a buddy up. Assistant experience. C Ray Wright - Strength & Conditioning I have no idea but better be better than 17 IR players. Overall great offensive staff in my opinion. The defensive staff has alot to prove. It scares me but I'm gonna hope Saleh is the next big thing. I'd feel much better with the staff if we grab Fangio next year.

IMO, some will be excellent and

some won't - just like drafting "sure thing" guys who eventually tank
