f**k. A Ravens D led by Saleh with a OC McDaniels would be terrifying ngl

Why...
Is our defense terrifying?

Wow really making up for lost time today with quality posts
I had alot to think about while i was in the hallway.

Define quality?

Are you going to spew out the injury list the excuse. I can appreciate the injuries but the D is brutal.

Lol was just referring to the onslaught of super positive posts you made in an hour or so time. Don't really spew anything. I've said the injuries are brutal, but that aside the backups and backup backups need to be better.

End of the day, i am surprised that they even sniffed a 1 seed. I am happy that they made it into the playoffs. I didnt necesarily think that was a given at the start of the season. Pretty awesome for Shany to have this team in that position even full healthy nevermind the key injuries. Still, there is always room to improve. The D is f**king brutal to watch.

Imo, I like Saleh and I think he can be a good NFL Coach.. but I'm the type to see what has worked and what has not first and foremost. Tomlin has been able to win/get into the playoffs with garbage QBs.. also hobbled old Big Ben, and 2025 version of Aaron Rodgers. I'd be curious what he could pull off with Lamar, Derrick Henry, and those other weapons. The defense he'll take care of.

Where as Saleh had talent everywhere his first season with the Jets. A potential star of a running back... one of the young studs at WR...and a stacked defense. But wasn't able to at least go 500.

So there is no guarantee he'll go .500 or higher with the Ravens...and if he does barely, it might be because of all the star talent.

Context. You heaped a lot of deserved praise on Tomlin for winning with nothing at QB but didn't acknowledge the trash Saleh had at QB? This only proves Tomlin is better than Saleh, which any reasonable person can agree to. If they can get Tomlin, they should BUT this time around, Saleh wouldn't have to worry about the QB/offense. He'd do well in Baltimore. I wish we could keep him, but there are some prime destinations available.

I don't think you do appreciate the injuries. There's a reason the some guys we have starting or playing significant snaps max out at 20 snaps a game under normal circumstances. The more they play, the more likely they will be exposed.

His QB situation was horrific though.

The Steelers and Ravens are probably the best possible spots for any coach, especially a defensive coach. The Ravens have GM, QB and RB and defense already taken care of.

Honestly, Mike McDonald should consider pulling a Belichick move and leaving Seattle. Even though he's doing well now, it's only a matter of time in this division and with no real long term answer at QB. I'd rather put my career in Lamar Jackson's hands than Sam Darnold.
If Saleh goes to the interview with Arizona it will mean he wants that job

If the NFL coaching carousel was more like college, I know SEA would be more than a little scared s**tless rn over that Ravens job opening up and Baltimore having the pull to bring their coach back home. Macdonald was the one that got away for them which is why I think if they go defensive, Minter has the inside track over Saleh and the other defensive candidates. Minter has the Raven pedigree and is basically Macdonald 2.0.

Nah, ownership in the league is a pretty tight group. You start disrespecting any of them and they'll circle the wagons and blackball you.

Saleh should go, interview and at worst use it as practice for the Ravens job.
What if, he takes a HC job somewhere, then we hire another numb nut like Sorensen?
He might be on the Rooney rule recycle list now
I feel Saleh is a master of defense and the best in the league. The 49ers can afford him. Keep him as our defensive coordinator.

I think the floor is a lot higher this cycle. The worst case scenario, we just promote Gus Bradley. I'd personally find that a bit underwhelming, but he's at least a much better hire than Sorensen.

Wont be hiring a DC after all the guys are taken this time. Why we ended up with people like Sorensen and Wilks.
I think Saleh goes to the Cards when they strike out on all the other big name candidates
