Agree that was a mistake, but disagree it's all that meaningful (in terms of forming a judgement of Kyle's ability as a coach).
Some of Kyle's warts IMO are clock management and pacing issues.
The thing is that he's not the only coach that has these particular warts… some of whom are Super Bowl winners… and all coaches have warts of some type.
I'd some in-game decisions are shady as well. Sometimes he gets too pass happy when the game calls for just running it. Did it both SBs.

Facts don't seem to matter to you so I'm not going to waste my time.

Should call screens on 4th and 8 like the elite guys do.
LOL
but seriously i think people always complain no matter what. KS is an aggressive coach its hard to blame him for that especially in the SB rather than running the clock especially when it worked previous in that game. I see a lot of the losses as execution issues and i always though its ridiculous to blame the offense for giving up a 28-3 lead the fall shouldve been way more on Dan Quinn than KS.
I feel people want it both ways. I have seen people like DrEli complain when play calling gets conservative then also complain when it stays aggressive and it doesnt work out. You cant have it both ways
Complaining about play calling is funny to me. Pretty much it's a genius call if it works and a horrible call if it doesn't work. Nevermind if the execution is bad its a horrible call and the coach should be fired!!!
These play callers call 50+ calls a game and every one of them is expected to be a genius call that catches the defense off guard. 40 of them might work (positive yardage is gained) but we will dwell on the 10 that didn't work. Even if a defensive player made an excellent play or someone slipped and missed a block, its the play callers fault.
You are kidding yourself if you think you are going to agree with every play call.
Agreed and great post.

If only he was perfect and could scheme the team out of deep holes caused by execution failures, turnovers and penalties. We would never lose. Perfect seasons with more trophies than room to store them. The coach can only impact a game to a point. His play calling last week put us in a position to win, multiple times. The team failed him not the other way around. Jesus, if he ran more…or pass more or called a screen here or there…. Doesn't matter. If we didn't fumble, throw interceptions, or get penalties at key moments it's a different game. That's on the guys on the field not the sideline. You want to hit him for the discipline issues? Mmmk. But I bet you he doesn't coach them to jump offsides, interfere with passes or hold receivers to make up for getting burned….

Kyle seems to dial up at least 1 trick play per game. Some trickier than others, but the hook and ladder he did vs AZ stands out, the first game CMC played here where he threw a TD, Jennings throwing a TD etc. Kyle's trick plays seem to have a much higher rate of success than any other coach I've seen...
