If I had to guess, it's very possible that Cohn's writing persona is completely different from who he is as a person. While I've never met him or his father, I'm one degree separated from him since the mid '80s at least.
My family knows his neighbors, which was first brought up by our mutual friend in conversation years ago during the early Harbaugh days and it blew me away the coincidence. They said the nicest things about both father and son.
I've confirmed to Cohn directly in responding to one of his articles, throwing in this little tidbit. He seemed very nice and friendly in it, totally mirroring the feelings we have for our mutual friends (the family name being the same as a 49er LB who was on the roster not too long ago -- you know who they are, Grant).
Verdict: Possible nice guy who writes click bait articles that drive Niner fans crazy.
