We need that Bye week in three weeks and later on we also will need that second Bye week that clinching the #1 seed will garner.
Here's hoping!
I think it's pretty clear the only thing that can stop us are injuries. If this team gets all the guys back that they can get back with the players we have, the coaches we have. We're getting it done.
Unfortunately we just can't seem to avoid injury. It's exhausting. Knowing how good the team can be and never being able to see it fully just sucks.
It's like looking back at last year the Rams in their last game of the season just 4. 4! guys out for that game. Rob Havenstein was probably the most impactful out of that group.
Seattle had 8 guys out for the SB. Biggest impact one was Charbonnet and poor them just had to rely on Kenneth Walker the whole time.
Right now...not weeks 19/20 of the NFL season. Week 6. We have 16 guys on IR/PUP.
2023 was our "healthy" year. We had 10 guys out for the SB and then lost Feliciano and Greenlaw early in the game.
2019 we had 16 guys on IR for the SB.
It really sucks. Just need this squad to get as healthy as possible and avoid further injury. But clearly that's something we may never see again until we start playing like a finesse team...in which case the issue may be we can't win as many games in the first place.
