There is a big difference between "can't" and "hasn't".
Both the 49ers L's in the Super Bowl to the Chiefs came down to fluke plays, blown assignments by players and controversial non-calls. Kyle caught the Chiefs' slipping in the 1st Super Bowl and schemed up Emmanuel Sanders to get free for a long TD but Garoppolo choked. CMC put the ball on the ground during a long, successful looking drive and Darrel Luter let the ball bounce off his foot on a punt return. This is not "Kyle choking". Neither is Dre Greenlaw tearing his achilles on a non-contact injury in the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs beat the s**t out of the 49ers in the regular season a couple years ago while short handed, but it's not like they are beating the breaks off the 49ers every match up. They are in most games winning by the slimmest of margins and a little bit of luck on their side.
Kyle Shanahan will have multiple Super Bowls by the time it's all said and done and run laps around McDonald, McVay and a lot of the coaches others are glazing over right now.

Are the niners destined to play the chiefs in the SB for a third time?? What would Shanahan do?
No matter where or when, they just seem to have our number. It's ridiculous at this point.

Definitely not something id be rooting for to happen but I'd also take it if we're guaranteed a SB appearance.
Bigger concern is actually Kenneth Walker but we also have familiarity with him. If the guys we have coming back are back and we obviously don't lose more. I like our chances.
Plus we play them this year later in the season. Would be a great time to beat them and get that monkey off our back so we feel better if a potential SB rematch happens.

Yeah Shanny doing a lot better managing CMC's carries this season. Black has been a god send.
Kyle Shanahan says Brock Purdy is so easy to coach because even after Purdy creates a touchdown out of nothing Shanahan can still immediately tell him what he did wrong and he will receive it the right way
