Those wins Macdonald has are against some severely undermanned 49er squads. Even it out like today and this is what you get. A big win on the road in a hostile environment.
We won but it really wasn't because of Kyle. Our only real drive was just Brock and Evans
we've lost the biggest of the games because of SHANNY

Shanny is the reason we've had big games to watch the last decade.
In Week 5, the 49ers put up the highest designed rushing success rate of any team in a game against a Mike Macdonald defense, per @SumerSports

The 49ers 65% designed rushing success rate was a 99th percentile performance

The only thing I'd be critical of is not going with the run game more in this game. We were having a lot of success with CMC.

Just unbelievable. I still think last season was Kyle's best yet with all of the injuries and still having a shot at the #1 overall seed and winning a playoff game. I still feel that Purdy's rookie season would have ended in a trophy had he not been injured. Just had a string of bad luck, which happens in this league. We were 5-0 in SB's before, which means a little luck went in our favor, so I'm hoping it has now balanced out and we can tie, then beat the Pats and Steelers for most all time.Injuries are literally the only thing that can derail us, and those wanting a different coach just can't be reasoned with. Y'all want another Tomsula or Kelly? Kyle could not only choose ANY team he wanted, but wouldn't be unemployed for more than 10 seconds.
Some 49er fans are bigger idiots than the worst fans of the Seahawks, Eagles and Rams combined. The same type of morons that ran Andy Reid out of town in Philly.
When all is said and done, Shanahan/Purdy will have multiple SB titles.
Agree and Kyle keeps growing as a coach. I think the two soild drafts (in my opinion) of 2025 and 2026 is the result of Kyle developing a lot of confidence in John's (and the scouting organization built under John) to get him the players he needs. Usually Kyle likes trading up, this time in 2026 he traded down. I think thats evidence of kyles draft confidence in his GM and his Personnel department.

I was hoping Kyle would spread them out.. but he wanted to protect Purdy as much as possible.. I still love my coach
Once we have Pearsall, Stribling, Deebo and Evans on the field at the same time let's do it. Have Kittle play inline to help block and then release.
What could have been on the WR corps. Yikes.
Even just seeing what a difference Evans makes, it's no wonder that Kyle was looking to break Seattle by putting weapons all over the field.

Wish he would have stuck with the run a little more but can't be too mad at a win inn Seattle.

I liked and still like the 2024 draft. Seems we got better when the real genius and GM, Adam Peters, left.
So it looks like three straight at worst, solid drafts.
