His story for one. Grant caught him lying and called him out. Kyle's lack of integrity doesn't surface until he goes in front of reporters and gives a completely different rendition from his original story of what actually occured. The cover up backfired so of course he came forward. If Kyle hit a tree instead of another car I doubt anyone would've cared including the police

Grant found a public record and Kyle set it straight. Pretty much immediately. How was it Kyle lying when he had made no public statement to anyone about what happened before then?

No he called reporters that cover the team to a private group meeting in his office a week ago and gave a tearful, remorseful explanation. Then yesterday at his presser he gave a completely different story and blamed the auto pilot device in his Tesla. I mean I'm no detective but Kyle has an issue with accountability. He took a bad look and somehow made it worse by opening his mouth

No. He didn't. He stated it was his fault for looking away on both meetings. He stated the autopilot was on in both meetings. In the latest press conference he stated he's not sure if he accidentally turned the autopilot off or not when he looked away to get his phone.

In neither statement did he blame the autopilot.

Are you mad at yourself for getting in the situation?

"Yeah. I mean, anytime you cause an accident that can be avoided, you'd feel pretty stupid. Especially when you have a chance to hurt someone else. You get mad when you get a ticket at yourself, so it's kind of the same. I think everyone's done, to a degree, what I've done. Dropping a phone, it falling all the way to my back seat to where I have to fully take my eyes off the road. It's something that I normally wouldn't do. I've had autopilot for nine years, so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Who knows what happened when I turned around. Whether it malfunctioned or whether I knocked it off, that's something I don't know yet. But regardless, it is always your fault, whether you're on autopilot or not. You can't take your eyes off the road. It's a partnership driving. You don't just turn it over to a computer. It's a good lesson, no matter how comfortable I am with that, that I believe someday could save my life or someone else's. It's really helped me have perspective on that stuff."

---

How anyone could watch or read that recent press conference and conclude he was blaming the autopilot and changing his story is beyond me. It's simply not what he said.

Grant posted a video on YouTube about an hour ago regarding the inconsistencies in Kyle's story. I tend to believe Grant over your opinion. No offence but Grant was in his office a week ago when Kyle called the meeting and was also at the press conference yesterday. He does this stuff for a living. I think people can come up with their own conclusions

I wouldn't trust Grant with anything. The guy is a troll hack. If you want to trust him over Shanahan, who for a decade has been as forthright and open as any HC in the NFL, sometimes to a surprising degree... well, good luck with that.

Grant is a hack. His opinion is as believable as some Twitter troll. You only like him bc he s**ts on the niners and goes on your local radio stations and at your tailgates. Everybody who's in the niners building or a fan knows he's garbage.

What do y'all want Kyle to say?

"Uhm, yeah, I actually meant to kill the girl. I'm actually a little pissed off she's still alive. I'll have to go faster next time. I hate the 49ers and I never plan on winning a Super Bowl. I've purposely already sabotaged two and I'm hoping for a third. I lied, I'm a liar, and I'm lying right now. Thank you."

It was a car accident and you guys are trying to make it like its some grand conspiracy. He's admitted fault and has been open about everything. You claim he's changed his story, but to what end? What exactly is he covering up?

Makes me believe that a lot of people haven't been in a self driving vehicle. Lol I have a Tesla and the self driving isn't perfect and you are supposed to pay attention 100% of the time.

the scenario he describes is a very real scenario and would be 100% his fault.

I got pulled over once cause I had it on auto pilot and my lane ended up merging and the car jerked cause the spacing was odd during the merge - they thought I was drinking. Lol weird stuff happens that are unexpected. I don't see this in a way where Kyle is deflecting blame - you're not supposed to take your hands away from the wheel or your eyes off the road during auto pilot - it actually sends off alarms if the cameras in the car see you not doing it.

This made me laugh, good posted lol

Dude, those self driving cars, someone hit my car once cause they were in auto park mode and hit my car while it was parked lol. I am like, you can't even park on your own? She had a kid in the car too, I was like damn, just park yourself?

I don't know where else to put this, does anybody know what position coach Joe Graves is and Johnny Holland is still on the staff so what is his title now (former LBC), linebacker coach emeritus or something?
