I never understood the love for Tesla autos. They look s**tty and cheap, the truck looks like a kid designed it lol why would anyone want that? And it wouldn't surprise me if a car crumpled like paper in a crash.

Lol I didn't realize how stupid Grant was until now, I have barely been able to stand to watch him more than a few minutes before this incident. But yeah, I won't be watching him anymore. Seems so familiar with his whole tenure here in SF, just regarding game time decisions, player personnel decisions that have impacted the team in a big way at those moments. It's part of who he is. He doesn't realize, or care, how stuff like this comes off. I used a term for it before, but had to rephrase it.

He had an assumption that he was safer than he was and now recognizes that. What's the problem here, exactly? Is it that he's not crushed with guilt and unable to function because of it? He's learned, he's admitted he acted stupidly, and is now moving forward. Why is this so horrible?

Do people expect him to beg each of them personally for forgiveness for being a terrible human being or something?

No. He didn't. He stated it was his fault for looking away on both meetings. He stated the autopilot was on in both meetings. In the latest press conference he stated he's not sure if he accidentally turned the autopilot off or not when he looked away to get his phone.

In neither statement did he blame the autopilot.

Are you mad at yourself for getting in the situation?

"Yeah. I mean, anytime you cause an accident that can be avoided, you'd feel pretty stupid. Especially when you have a chance to hurt someone else. You get mad when you get a ticket at yourself, so it's kind of the same. I think everyone's done, to a degree, what I've done. Dropping a phone, it falling all the way to my back seat to where I have to fully take my eyes off the road. It's something that I normally wouldn't do. I've had autopilot for nine years, so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Who knows what happened when I turned around. Whether it malfunctioned or whether I knocked it off, that's something I don't know yet. But regardless, it is always your fault, whether you're on autopilot or not. You can't take your eyes off the road. It's a partnership driving. You don't just turn it over to a computer. It's a good lesson, no matter how comfortable I am with that, that I believe someday could save my life or someone else's. It's really helped me have perspective on that stuff."

How anyone could watch or read that recent press conference and conclude he was blaming the autopilot and changing his story is beyond me. It's simply not what he said.

Grant posted a video on YouTube about an hour ago regarding the inconsistencies in Kyle's story. I tend to believe Grant over your opinion. No offence but Grant was in his office a week ago when Kyle called the meeting and was also at the press conference yesterday. He does this stuff for a living. I think people can come up with their own conclusions
