The decision was fine. The result wasn't.
Kyle explained his reasoning and it's very logical for anyone simply not looking to blame him for the loss.
Why live in fear of a TD by an offense who hasn't been able to get a single TD drive in 6 quarters? Chiefs could've said anything after winning but we have no idea what happens if the defense does their job and stop them within FG range and a 4th and long situation. They very well could've kicked a FG to tie it up again giving us the ability to win with the next score.
So what's happening instead of analyzing what actually happened Charlie and others are using hindsight to bash Kyle's decision and imagining scenarios which didn't actually play out. Personally I find that a silly way to make a point.
CMC shouldn't have fumbled first drive deep not chiefs territory. Luter shouldn't have had his special teams gaffe
I don't even blame Luter. He was a rookie who should've been waved off. I 10000% blame McCloud who IMO is the biggest reason we lost that game. The fact that pos claimed he would do it AGAIN cuz he was trying to make a play tells me everything I need to know about him.
Like nobody needed you to make a play. We needed possession of that football. KC wasn't doing anything. You jump on the ball and you make sure we keep possession. Let the offense with all those guys on it make the plays...hell you can contribute on offense, AFTER we maintain possession.
But no, we handed them the football, instantly flipped momentum and allowed them to score their only TD in like 4/5 quarters. No doubt in my mind if he falls on that football we win that game.
