ya super stoked to see how evans is incorporated into the offense, maybe it will look more like the 2016 falcons
I'm not sold on this WR group as others are. I'm interested in seeing what Stribling, Watkins, and Bergen can do. Loved the Stribling and Watkins picks. I have no faith in either Pearsall or Kirk staying healthy for a full season. They couldn't even make it through OTAs without getting hurt. I think one of Robinson, Turner, or Cowing make the final 53. Shanahan has shown he'll abandon the 'spread-it-around' approach and lean on his best players when he doesn't trust the talent/experience in the depths. We saw it last year with his dependence on CMC last year. You brought up the 2016 Falcons. They brought in Sanu and Gabriel via free agency after Shanahan had leaned hard on Julio and Freeman in 2015.
Evans can definitely be a guy Shanahan can lean on if things get dire. I don't see Shanahan incorporating more nine routes to accomodate what Evans was used to in Tampa. They don't attack deep verticals often because of Purdy. Evans is capable of running corners, outs, and digs. He'll be asked to run more intermediate posts, short slants, and routes back to the ball (comeback/curl). Evans can get 140+ targets in this offense if things are bad around him. Otherwise, the number number will be sub-100. He's the designated X, so he should still be the top target.
Bourne, Ju, Robinson, tonges took on more of the load. We couldn't run the ball to say it was all CMC
Shanny's son getting cuck'd wherever he tries to hide
