Deion >>>>>>>>> McDonald in terms of value. The NFL negotiated the "Deion Rule" into the CBA to prevent teams from valuemaxxing contracts.

I'd take an All-Pro center for 8 years over a HoF CB for 1.

You clearly didn't watch Deion play. He eliminated half the field on defense.

Lol you were like 2 then 🤣

He had an incredible year.

One year.

I saw every game of 1994. I just value 1993-1999 with McDonald more than that single season of Deion.

Oh he was and I get your point as well . It was awesome just letting him go to one side of the field and not worry about anything. Just find it funny that a kid who wasn't old enough to remember watching that likes to lecture those that watched all 5.

He was the difference maker that won our last SB....letting him and Waters walk are the reasons we were just 2nd best for Youngs remaining years.

They added many other starters on the defense that year.

Yes, Deion was awesome that year. He didn't win it all by himself, though. It would had been nice to keep him. Losing Watters was worse, IMO, as RB was a major hindrance to the offense before getting Hearst.

Going from him to Loville then Floyd to Walker mid season was just brutal
I love my coach and hate him as a GM

Kyle the GM is gonna prevent Kyle the coach from winning a super bowl 😭. He seriously needs to focus solely on coaching the team and let the Lynch and co handle the draft, ect

To be fair, this is absolutely not a new phenomenon and is a fact that has been often acknowledged.

It's been well established for years that Kyle the GM is killing Kyle the HC.

I think a lot of us have been saying this for years, but many didn't want to hear it. Some of them are finally coming around to this fact. Let's see Monday if we get the usual "ill trust Kyle over forum posters comments about who they draft" etc lol

What I am asking myself is do we have an owner who can sit him down and tell him that, then the two men try something new that may benefit everyone. I personally don't think Jed has it in him and I think Kyle is too stubborn to check himself out of the personnel process.

What they'll be doing in the offseason as Lynch contract is expiring and Kyle is due an extension.

Jed didn't even know they had signed Kirk until days later because he is too busy doing side quests.

As long as the team keeps making the playoffs 2 out of every 3 years both Shanahan and Lynch will have job securiity.

Yea, you mentioned that to me earlier and it will reveal what the deal is. The fact John hasn't been extended yet is something. For all we know he may want out etc. it will be interesting.

I'm curious how you tell a guy he's an incredible coach and offensive play designer, but not so great at personnel lol

Honesty comes out in contract negotiations.

Hopefully Kyle trusts one of the personnel guys enough to allow for that.
