The owner basically said he doesn't give a f**k about the team because he is too busy doing side quests.

That means we're gonna be walking in circles with Shanahan for a while.

I know its going to suck to field competitive teams for the next few years. Darn it!!!

a number of people on here will react to this video like

YAY we're never gonna win a Super Bowl!!!!!!!

Some so called niner fans here are so odd, excited to keep the guy that can't win a Super Bowl. Not niner fans, just fans of individual players and coaches.

This may come as a major shock to you and others but every coach who has won a SB after losing one or more earlier in their career has gone to the SB and failed to win one had people claiming they'll never win one...until they do.

Claiming Kyle can't win the SB when he's consistently gotten the team into position to do so only to lose the game in close and heartbreaking fashion is just extreme peanut brain level posting IMO.

I refuse to rehash the SB discussion we've had a million times by now but the reality is simple. Each SB was there to be won and every playoff game under Kyle where we weren't severely handicapped by critical injuries were there to be won.

We haven't won a SB since the 94 season. We've had 8 coaches since then and have 0 SBs to show for it. With all those coaches Kyle is the only one who has shown consistency at this level and until he loses the team or that consistency goes away he is the best guy for us to win a SB.

Thinking otherwise isn't being clever. It's just making wild overreactions that make people look like casual football fans.

you think Jed has lost interest in his 10 billion dollar franchise, and is trying to sabotage the team by sticking with Kyle Shanahan???
Could be a reach, lol

Know what? We all saw Kyle with probably the best niner team we've had in 20 years and he still fumbled it away. I'm gonna go out on a limb here, he's not gonna have a team better than that one and he's never gonna win a ring with the 49ers. Doesn't take much common sense to see it bro. But good for you and a lot of other Kyle fans here, we're all probably gonna get another 5-6 years of Kyle. 👍🏼

Yes that was Kyle out there on the punt return.

One thing your posts are lacking is common sense when you make claims like the one above. There are like 8 different things that happened in that game that would've had the 49ers winning that game with every single decision Kyle made, that had actually nothing to do with his coaching ability. But sure he fumbled it away

Owner's job is to give money to the team and let the football folks make the football decisions. It's funny to me that people see Jed's comments whichever way they're leaning already.

If they're looking to hate on the team then it's "Jed doesn't care about the team. He's so stupid he didn't even know we signed Christian Kirk. This guy doesn't care about winning"

And yet if you're not looking to be a Debbie Downer you can read the same comments as "Jed is so far removed from the football decisions that he doesn't even know the guys we're signing but still paying their bills"

Guess some of you would rather have Jerry Jones. Jed isn't Eddie but few in the league are. But the idea that he doesn't care about the team is absurd. He just understands he's there to sign the checks and put $ into the team and support them financially but getting involved in the football stuff isn't for him.
I've been saying this for a while now, and my eyes have backed up what i thought……Jed cares more about his new toy right now that the 49ers. Leeds is number 1 on his plate and for me it's understandable. It's harder to keep a team in the premier league and IF the yorks are able to get Leeds into the top tier of the premier league, the payoff would be way higher for them. So i do understand his thinking.
I don't want Jed to be into football decision making but just give the money to Kyle and John and demand that they win

He does that I'm good

Do owners have an impact on teams success?

Demanding would be a football decision

I know we all loved the Eddie D era but things are way different now. There was no salary cap back then. No free agency. No limitations on practices. All of these things made it easier for an owner that was willing to pay whatever it takes. Eddie was great but he acknowledges that he made a lot of bad business decisions.

You know that reason and logic doesn't fly with those who want to believe what they want to believe.
