Kyle has fallen short at times but he's also been an excellent coach. I love having Kyle but that doesn't mean I love everything he does.
winning a Super Bowl is really really hard and unfortunately when we've got there - we went up against one of the greatest QB/HC/TE combos (with also a HOF DC). We had a ton of chances to win both of those games and blew it, is what it is.
if we can stay healthy - we will be right in the mix to win it all again. Let's hope we get a couple more pieces and stay healthy. Should be a great season if that's the case

Ahmm…no
Mooch took over a HoF QB with elite skill players, great OL and never made it to the NFCCG.
It's another laughable analogy people make in here to diminish what Shanahan has done as a HC. Not all HCs who haven't won the SB are equal.
Shanahan has 9 playoff wins as a HC. He would have several SBs with Steve Young and Jerry Rice and TO.
Or if we look at his coaching career as a whole he could easily be the guy that chokes away SBs with Steve, Jerry and TO.

And yet he's choked away 2 SB's here already.

We're not doing this man. We've covered those games for months. He's not losing either game with Steve and those WRs. I know you don't even believe that garbage.

Choking in a SB is when you lose to your brother as a 5.5 point favorite. Not losing to an all time QB and coach.

How many more years do people here think he's gonna get in SF without winning a Super Bowl? 5? 7?

A better answer is "As long as he's getting positive results from his players and the locker room has his back." He'll be in trouble if either of these things become problems in a significant way. Otherwise you keep him.

The Kyle support has become cult like. I suspect he could lose a couple more SBs and he'd still be celebrated for getting us to those Superbowls to begin with…
