Damn shame where this franchise is. f**k the Yorks!

It is a shame. How much longer is Kyle going to have?

McVay and Macdonald didn't put those teams together. They inherited a lot more pieces. Their far more similar to Jim Harbaugh in that respect.

He's been here 10years.

And he got there twice and came up a bit short.

Get the f**k over it already.

How about your GM?

Shanny is your GM!

Only truly stupid fans believe this.

Sure, bud

Only the dumbest of fans think that a HC is so super human that he can be the successful HC of a perennial playoff contender, aaaaaand be the GM of that same perennial playoff contender. There isn't enough time in the day, add in the fact that he's a successful husband and father, but only the truly ignorant fans need this pointed out to them.

I'm pretty sure Shanahan called all the shots personnel wise.

There are plenty of coaches who do both. Are you new to this?

Yea but do those guys have more participation trophies than Kyle ? Last I checked, he gives us a chance every year. Thats what makes him better than both. He owns McVay in the regular season. And remember 2 years ago he went 2-0 vs MacDonald. Stop whining.

LOL. Best post in this thread!!

Coaching wise I respect MacDonald a lot more. Yes he took over a lot of really good talent but one thing he did exceptionally well is build to his strength.

He was brought in on the back of his defensive mind and he(with a little luck involved) put together a dominant unit on defense - got Ernest Jones for peanuts after Rams and Titans both sent him away and he turned into a really great leader and player for them. Then added Emmanwori in the draft who everyone knew was the perfect Kyle Hamilton like safety for them.

As I type this F the Titans franchise. Like how many f ups can they have to make it harder for us? Trade AJ Brown to the Eagles. Send Ernest Jones to Seattle and then trade their 2nd round pick to them so they can grab Eman. Hire Saleh away. And that's after firing the current COTY just 2 years ago.

As for McVay, he's a great coach for sure but his crowning achievement is beating Kyle in the NFCCG then winning the SB. Meanwhile he was totally outcoached in that NFCCG and all that year by Kyle. We wanna talk about losing leads? 49ers don't make the playoffs that year if McVay doesn't blow a 17-0 lead at home. Totally bailed out in the NFCCG by Tartt dropping that pick. 49ers unable to convert 2nd and 1 with Elijah Mitchell and missing our best run blocker in McGlinchey.

I haven't seen anything from McVay to show me he's a better coach than Kyle. Macdonald at least took it to Kyle this season but we'll see how that matchup unfolds moving forward.
Your best coach in the history of the world. The chosen one who can never be replaced. He's #3 in his own division and even lower than that in the conference. Given Sirianni won the Super Bowl for example. It's been 9 years and he won nothing. McDonald won the Super Bowl after 2 years. Sirianni after 4 years. You really need to be more realistic about what he is. He's #3 at best in his own division. That's not really all that great and certainly not the irreplaceable person I hear about on here daily. He is not somebody you can't replace. In fact the sooner the better.

I hate him for his most recent quip about the Seahawks. "don't ask me, i've not scored a TD against them the last two times I played them". He thinks that s**t is a comedic quip, but to have our HC joke about that is disgusting to me, and for the very first time, I am NOT happy with Shanahan in his role as the 49ers HC to the point that it has me thinking.

That's him being honest. I see that as a great sign - he knows what needs to be fixed and isn't pretending that he did well against them the last two games.

Same. The people who want to hate on Kyle will be the first ones to claim that was him joking around and not take it seriously. To me that's basically laughing through the pain.

He knows we got our ass kicked. He understands what happened and what needs to happen to fix it. Now it's about going out and doing that but you have to make the right moves and then hope the guys you need to break through vs that team are healthy.

Can't fix something you don't think is broken. That comment to me shows he knows it is.

You can't have a choir boy for a pass rusher. Aldon Smith could smash into a tree drunk and give you 3 sacks the next day. He could play drunk and give you 2 sacks. We need to get to the QB or it won't get any better. Certainly he's better than a set the edge DE who can't pass rush who now got hurt at #11. Yeah with some personal problems no doubt.

I would caution you against using nicknames for a group of fans you don't agree with. It will not lead to good things.

Also a reminder - "fans" who are rooting for the HC of the team they're rooting for to fail...are not rooting for the 49ers to win. So....
