KS would have a HC job before he even got to the airport.

Kyle and McVay fall into "seriously, we'll fire our HC if you're down" territory.

Reality is we won the SB with the bulk of the players we had before that year - brought in Deion, some others and then couldn't keep him to keep things going. You think we'd let Sanders walk if the cap wasn't a thing then?

Salary cap was a factor, but locker room dynamics was higher on that list. It's why the 49ers didn't even make an offer to Deion.

Right up there with Bill Belichick becoming Kyle's DC.

Watched America's team. Eddie was pissed he made Deion a great offer, but Jerry Jones was making huge sponsorship deals against the NFL and their rules. NFL had Reebok, so Cowboys signed with Nike, NFL had Coke so they went Pepsi. They then used that to give Deion QB money.

This is weird and unnecessary. You can make your takes without bizarre analogies like that.

If left unchecked dude's fantasies would be off the hook / things would run amuck like nuts in here lol

Why keep Kyle when you can get a guy who's never won a big 10 title let alone anything else

Flecks went from a hot coaching candidate, looking like a sleep deprived older McVay brother ten years ago

to

Off duty cop from Mankato taking in a game

Now looking more like an ice agent than HC these days

Was Fleck on Hot tub Time Machine? Looks like Rob Corddry in that pic

That's so effing on point!!

Kyle gets no credit for running one of the best locker rooms in the league for nearly a decade. Too many writers and fans forget there's far more to being a HC than calling plays. By almost any measure Kyle has been a top HC for those responsibilities outside of game day, and while writers and fans may forget, I guarantee you the owners and GMs out there do not overlook it. It's a huge part of why he would be a HC again faster than John Harbaugh and Stefanski were this offseaaon.

It definitely told me something when we have Azeez coming back while still technically a member of the Titans to help break down our LB huddle as the 49ers take on the Packers in the playoffs.

Kyle has his flaws for sure and a part of me worries about the fact that we haven't broken through with him yet that it may come a time to move on, only to watch him eliminate more of those flaws and get it done repeatedly for another team.

But I still see a guy whose team keeps fighting for him, a team that is still buying what he's got to say and I see a guy who is willing to grow from his mistakes.

My biggest concern with Kyle is the draft. We need to get some homeruns before it's too late. But I loved reading the article about how different he coached this year and the fact that we had the results that we did is a really good thing IMO. Just need it to come together soon. I'm dying to see us hoist a Lombardi again.

I am so afraid of the Andy Reid effect.

KS goes to another team and goes on a trophy streak.

Whereas I'm excited about the possible trophy streak we could go on after Kyle leaves ala Philly.

You have never once produced a name that would take the niners on such a streak.

He doesn't care. Everyone knows once you switch coaches it's all upside.

What these guys fail to think about is what HC would be looking to follow Kyle Shanahan when their owner lets him go.

Trusting Kyle Shanahan to be a HC vs Jed York of being an owner. I know which one I'm going with.
