Lol. I shouldn't take the bait, but I honestly like to present explanations that other people, with a functional thought process, might be able to understand.

Mind numbing to see a person either so biased, or so dumb, they can't acknowledge the goal was to score and get a stop and end the game in two possessions.

Tbh the bold applies to you in this case. But go ahead keep the belief alive. Just don't hold your breath for the next coach to make the same decision just in case it comes down to a third possession. 😂

I look forward for you rooting against the next coach and for the Rams coach then too

Progress.

9-7-1. 3-0. I'll update it next year :)

From this to calling someone 'captain obvious' for pointing out that it is flat out incorrect. Dolt gonna dolt.

Theoretically, if we didn't score at all (turnover, punt, of missed FG) on our first possession, then if the Chiefs go for it on 4th down and fail, we would have possession, and that is the 3rd possession advantage.

To say there is no possibility of a 3rd possession is just being ridiculous. We can disagree on the probability, but it can't be zero.

Both games this weekend had 3rd possessions. Insane to suggest something that just happened wasnt possible two years ago.

Kyle is going to have to do something different. He keeps doing the same thing (drafting OLinemen late, having rookies sit for a year, etc.) and getting the same results: QB harassed, wasted talent, short of SB win(s). This also, applies to Lynch. Move up or down and get experienced talent from the college ranks and make a SPLASH in free agency instead of someone who pretty good and not GREAT.

Whats the point of the clock if every team is guaranteed a possession? Theoretically a team could use all the time in OT with their 1st possession and score with 0 secs left. The other team is still guaranteed a possession presumably with no clock. And if the first team uses 13 mins is it fair to the other team they only have 2 mins to work with?

I've been saying this too. The trolls constantly say "KYLE WAS PLAYING FOE THE 3rd POSSESSION, BUT REID WOULD'VE GONE FOR TWO AND ENDED THE GAME HAHAHAHA"

They literally ignore the fact there's so many other possibilities, such as what we saw last weekend. But now that they've been proven wrong, they're still saying the same stuff over and over again. A little weird.

I believe in the regular season the receiving team can win the game without the other team getting a possession if they do use the entire clock. The clock is at play in this scenario and in determining a tie if neither team scores, or have a matching score.

I'm not sure if this is the case in the playoffs *(see edit below)* but it's also worth noting playoff OT period is 5 min longer. Obviously can't end in a tie either.

*It's not the case in the playoffs, and I think the broadcast mentioned it during the Niners - Chiefs OT period. End of the clock would be treated like a Q change - effectively meaningless.

The option to take the ball in OT didn't bother me.

what bothered me, what KILLS me, is his playcalling in the 4th.

327 left. 2nd 5. He had run 3 straight runs and gained 9, 3 and 5.

he calls two passes. Both incomplete. Preserving time for mahommes and Moody is forced to kick a 53 yarder.

I hate him.

I agree with us not going after quality OL in the draft, but that's also due to our OL also stating that drafting OL early is NOT needed.

Unless you're the Eagles, who keep finding late round OL and they turn them into studs, put philosophy needs to change unless we can poach their OL coaches...

But I also see teams like the Lions and especially the Cowboys who constantly draft OL early, and they have no hardware to show for it as well.

Proven wrong ? We lost the SB on the second possession 😂
