Thought the personnel guys were awful?

When you inherit 2 dlineman in Buckner and armstead and have nick bosa there for the third pick you're going to have a loaded defense. It would have been better had they not whiffed on Reuben foster or Solomon Thomas.

so yeah they had a loaded roster. But it could have been so much better. Especially if they didn't wait for Kirk cousins.

Weirdly there's some posters that were really quiet after the win at Philadelphia that are back and better than ever.

Jed York would be an absolute clown to fire a coach who led his team to a 12-5 record and the Divisional round with half the team injured.
The defense had 22 different starters this season. The starting QB missed half the season.
You want Jed to fire this HC? Are you stupid?

And it's really funny reading that McVay, Ben Johnson or Mike McDonald are so better than Shanahan.
I wonder how they would have done if their team had as many injuries as the Niners had.
The great McVay lost at home against a Niners team without the QB1, the WR1, WR2, WR3, the TE1 and the star Pass Rusher.
Imagine what the usual suspects would have said if a healthy Niners team would have lost against the Rams without Stafford, Nacua, Adams and Jared Verse.

You see calling for Mahomes at 2 right? Knew it the whole time.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick lost to that team. Idk why you keep trying to convince yourself that they sucked

Tom Brady and Bill Bellicheck lost to Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez too. Guess that Jets team was secretly great.

Ravens were a mediocre team all season,. They just rode awful defensive football to a title. The results in subsequent seasons speak for themselves. Why they were such underdogs in SB.

Meanwhile the Chiefs win 7 straight AFC titles and go to 5 SBs.

They won a playoff game every year from 08-12 with Flacco. They were a Lee Evans drop away from going to the SB the year before. That was a great team overall and they had a QB playing like Joe Montana in the 2012 playoffs. They weren't some terrible team lol

So many hypotheticals for a guy that already has a SB trophy. Let's add to it. Imagine if Walsh didn't have Montana Rice Craig that one season. No way he could coach as good as Kyle…

Me? Never. But I don't get paid millions to do my due diligence and make sure every player is vetted.
Took a look at the Bills subreddit to see the fanbase's reaction to the McDermott firing.

Ooo boy they are NOT happy.

Pretty much all saying he had his flaws but the guy to fire was Beane, not McDermott. Even read a favorited comment saying "McDermott will be part of a SB-winning team before us, mark my words." Others saying they're going back to the dark years, especially if they hire McDaniel or promote Brady.

I figured the "fire Kyle" suspects in this fanbase would point to the McDermott firing as an example we need to follow ("see? The Bills actually want to WIN Super Bowls! Unlike us!!!"), but the Bills' fans are saying everything I need to know. They're reminding me of when we chose Trent Baalke over Harbaugh and it was every bit as bad as we thought it would be.

Take notes, "fire Kyle" crowd, the grass is NOT always greener on the other side. The most hilariously sad part is, the same people chanting to fire Kyle… would point and laugh at Jed and call our organization a joke the moment we do!

It would've been better much better if they continued to wait for Cousins instead of making the Garoppolo trade.
Do we all agree that Kyle needs to focus on X's and O's, and this organization needs to radically revamp its approach to scouting / drafting / recruiting / roster management?

Raiders fans are all excited about drafting Mendoza but they have a lot of problems to fix. First is getting a good coach. Then they need a good OC. Then they need to develop a winning culture. They need to rebuild a fanbase that's been dumped on several times. Mendoza can't fix all thise things by himself.

If you fire McDermott, fine. I don't think he has been terrible but I get it, he has an elite QB and little to show for it.

But how do you not also fire the GM that has produced such a meh roster? That is where the Bills screwed up.

Sometimes coachs, like players, need a fresh start. Andy Reid coached a lifetime in Philadelphia, bring countless participation trophies to a franchise that had done squat before that. And they let him go and he went on to win 3 SBs on another team. But guess what ? The team that fired him won two with two different coaches. Can't be scared to let go of a player or coach bc you're afraid of what they may or may not do on another team. You have to put your own team first. At this point, Kyle Shanahan has become the Andy Reid of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Difference is majority of us can call out Shanahan when it's warranted and still have the ability to think rationally about the fact that our best path to winning a SB is with Shanahan, not some unknown.

Until Shanahan shows he's losing the team or not getting them to play up to their talent level then he'll be fired like anyone else. This idea that Jed won't fire Shanahan if it's warranted is idiotic at best.

It's 2026 and some of you are still stuck in 2024. And the bulk of you were the ones screaming this season was going to be a disaster from the start and the team was rebuilding.

Suddenly it's time to move on from a HC who made chicken salad out of chicken sh*t this season.

I think some of us are way too high on the record we ended up with this season. If it were all because of Kyle then we would never have to make excuses for him in all the other "injured" years. It works out this year and we're like "See!!! Kyle is a god!!!!", but I just don't see it that way because this team goes into the dumps more often than not when injured

The sb OT subject came up because somebody wanted to act like the Rams and Broncos winning means Kyle made the right decision to receive. We aren't just talking about it because we feel like going after the guy

The OT in the SB stuff has been brought up in this thread consistently since it happened. We've done that song and dance so many times and I can assure you that 2 years later nothing will change.

I can sit back and say that I felt the better decision was to receive while also acknowledging that here was clear logic behind taking the ball first based on that specific game. What happened in the other games this weekend doesn't change that.

We still have people to this day claiming Shanahan didn't know the rules. That's how absurd we want to get here to knock the guy. There are real issues to address and talk about with Kyle without making up things that simply aren't issues.

Then after they had one playoff appearance the next 5. The 12 team was an aging team that had no business going as far as they did. Worst SB winner of the century.

What did Andy change in KC with his fresh start?

How's the fresh start from Marv Levy work out?
