"Literally every year"?

Except for 4 out of the 9 years that we have had a losing season. But those don't count.

Ah yeah years where we were forced to play the likes of CJ beathard, Hoyer, and Mullens. Like I said ZERO nuance and confirmation bias.

I mean the great Andy Reid really crushed it with his backups at QB this yr! Mcvay 5-12 when Stafford had a hurt season BUT they're great!

It's funny I think mentally I just forgot about KC cuz we were having our own issues but I think it's kind of hilarious that Andy with a top 10 defense and Mahomes playing in 14 games managed to win just 6 games.

Meanwhile every time Kyle had a top 10 defense and had his starting QB for 10+ games he had the team in the NFCCG.

Guess Andy Reid sucks now? Oh wait...he won those SBs so he's basically brilliant beyond measure at all times now. Except of course when coaching against Kyle, cuz in those games it's just Kyle being a terrible HC.

It all makes sense now.

Choose one.

Andy Reid or Kyle Shanahan?

No excuses, no explanation. No verbal diarrhea. Just pick one if we had the choice of one or the either next year.

That's my point. What separates Shanahan from those coaches on the list? He's JAG until he wins IMO.

But, like Andy Reid, sometimes a guy needs a fresh start elsewhere to get the ring.

So are basically all those other coaches then lol….which is my point. Also winning a SB over a decade ago doesn't mean s**t at this pt.

It took Philly 3 head coaches and 7 yrs to get one of the luckiest SB wins ever with career backup Nick Foles after moving off Andy.

Good HCs don't grow on trees, every yr we get 6+ changes….I would much rather be the team getting Kyle then looking for his replacement and I bet the majority of fan bases and the league agree.

end of the day I think your distain for Kyle is purely emotional.

Winning a SB a decade ago means sh*t? Seriously dude??

Ask those fans if it means nothing.

At the end of the day we have taken 4 swings with KS and struck out 4 times. How many more at bats do we need to take? Honest question.

I applaud your homerism and 49er pride. I was expecting nothing less.

It's not him that says "you don't know football"

It's everyone else when you criticize someone on this team.

It's like having a discussion with a liberal that ends with "you're a racist or homophobe"

When a person can't debate any longer they pull out the Trump card of "You don't know football". End of discussion.

No sir. This is a football message board. If you can't show nuance in your conversations then people will assume you're either trolling or don't understand the sport.

You go from making sense saying you think Kyle is a good coach and your issues are his personnel decisions to going down the - he never won the SB so he's worse than all these guys(some who also have never won a SB)

Above you say you'd take John Harbaugh - how many bad losses has he coached on an incredibly talented Ravens roster? 2019 - he won Coach of the Year over Kyle. Lamar Jackson had an epic season - virtually top 5 for QB AND RB. They had the best record in the regular season - sent home by Ryan Tannehil at home in a game that wasn't even close.

If you're being honest with yourself, outside of the Eagles NFCCG in 2022 when we didn't have a QB by the 2nd half, which game would you say Kyle coached in the playoffs where we had no shot to win?

That is what some people are missing here. Yes Kyle hasn't won a SB. But we had a chance to win each game.

If we don't misplay the 3rd and 17 in the SB against Mahomes/Hill in 2019 or if Jimmy connects with Sanders for the open TD we likely win that game.
If Brock Purdy throws to Aiyuk instead of Jennings at the 2 min warning or we simply stop the Chiefs on their TD drive in OT, we likely or definitely win that game.

Those plays were not coaching issues. The call Kyle made was there to beat the other team. The players didn't make the plays on the field.

Yet people blame Kyle and say he can't win it all. Yet the tape shows his call would've done just that if the players do their part.

Which brings me back - if you're refusing to look at details like that and simply look at the fact that Kyle lost and put the blame all on him and act like future games automatically would go the same way. Well...once again it's either trolling or you don't know ball.

I never said he is worse. I asked how is he better? They are all pretty much the same on that list but one little thing separates a few from the rest. Hmm. What could it be?

And if Kaepernick threw a better ball to Crabtree Harbaugh has a ring.

So many what-ifs yet you criticize me for doing the same thing with the 49ers draft picks. You can use hindsight when it comes to Shanahan and players not executing to defend him but I can't use hindsight to criticize him for personnel failures??

So what? Do what it takes to get a ring then burn the whole thing down and rebuild for a decade if we have to.

That Championship banner will be hanging in the rafters forever.

So a coach who is 8-4 in the playoffs is the same as someone who is 0-0?

I'm a Washington Nationals fan. I saw them win a title in 2019. I'm good for 20 years. I can still watch them be terrible and win 75 games each year because I saw them win. If they lost in 2019 these losing seasons would be real awful to handle.

I also saw us win a SB in 1994 then lose 3 straight. Thats rough man.

Sure. What's the difference? Winning the SB is all that counts. Like I've said 50 times we don't get a ring for 2nd place.

So you're telling me if Kyle wins a SB, then he gets carte blanche for the next 20 yrs lol? I'll call b******t with that s**t and you guys.

We got fans in here that just said they don't remember the 2004-2005 seasons. we got fans in here that couldn't tell you who won the 2010 SB.

I mean should we dump Kyle for Mike McCarthy or Gary Kubiak? SB champs from yesteryear?? John Gruden might want back in.

You act like making it to where Kyle has made it is some nonchalant easy thing….12 teams have never even been to a SB. 70% of the league doesn't even have a legit shot to make a SB and yet here we are always having a legit shot to win it every yr. Man what a real drag, sorry dude.

Yup Nick Foles is better than Dan Marino.
