Ahh. A 2nd place medal. Gotcha.
And according to some guys getting to the SB and losing makes Shanahan a better coach than a guy who has got there and won.
Getting the the SB and losing means sweet F all
Getting to the SB means you have the opportunity to win it.
Anything can happen in that game. That's the beauty of the NFL.
Pretending a coach who has consistently put his team in contention to win it all while doing it without the so called uber elite QBs isn't impressive is simply an absurd idea. That's why people are saying you're trolling because it's hard to fathom someone legit having that train of thought without looking to get a rise from others.
What's hard to fathom for me is how someone, who is supposed to be a fan of this team, is praising a coach and GM because they lost the SB twice and two NFC championship games.
No, what I'm doing is praising a coach who is able to get the team ready to play so they have a chance to win that championship.
That interaction you had related your baseball career really didn't ring any bells for you?
I'm not going to claim you were lying or anything like that but tell me. What was a better memory for you as a player? Getting to the championship game, winning all the games to get a chance at the trophy, celebrating the wins with your teammates….or did none of that matter and you'd just as much rather lose all your games so you never get that final disappointment?
As a fan I know I enjoyed 2023 a lot more than I did 2016. I wasn't out celebrating the SB loss but I still appreciated the season we got to have and all the excitement heading into the SB.
That is what people are happy with. The journey. I've said this before.
if you could guarantee me a trip to the SB but with a 5% to win it starting every season I would take it 100% of the time. Because being in the SB even if the odds are slim…are better than anyone who isn't in the SB which is 30 other teams.
Eventually things go your way. And when it comes to Kyle the % has been a lot higher than 5%. There hasn't been a SB under Kyle where we had no hope.
That is not someone I want fired. Sorry if you don't see it that way. You're one of the few.
