Oh here's another one too. Add it to the list. You criticize the team and it means you're not a fan AND you have never played sports.

Im 46 years old. I have been playing competetive hockey since I was 4 years old. Played AAA baseball. I still play hockey and baseball. Played high school basketball and football. Golf and tennis nearly every weekend. Gym and strength training 5 times a week.

You can always tell who has never played COMPETETIVE sports because it's clear you guys don't care about winning.

Why is 2nd place better? At the end of the day a team coming in 2nd is no different than a team finishing last. Absolutely no-one cares who finishes 2nd.

I wasn't good enough to make majors. I couldn't hit offspeed like the pros.

Im still better than you who probably only played T ball but not even in the same stratosphere as the pro's.

But it was still competetive and everyone on the team wanted to win.

In all my years of sports at whatever level we won a few championships and titles and lost a few. Losing the Championship means sweet F all. Do you think me and my friends on the team sit around and talk about that one time we made the Championship game and lost? No, we failed. It means absolutely nothing.

Sure. If the goal every little kid has is to make the majors and win a ring and I didn't.

It's no different than making it to a Super Bowl and losing. I give absolutely ZERO credit to us making the SB and losing. They failed. It means nothing. There's no ring or trophy for 2nd place.

There is one winner and the rest of the teams are losers. There is no difference of the team that loses the SB to the worst team in the league. None. They are all losers.

At the beginning of next year there are the Champions and then all the other losing teams that start off the year with the same record.
