How's the McVay tree doing?

Last time I heard they have a Super Bowl ring

Lol what does that have to do with the coaching tree part?

You asked how the McVay tree is doing and he responded with they have a Ring.

What's not to understand?

We played 5 quality opponents all year and had a 3-4 record vs them.

Rams x 2
Seattle x 2
Jacksonville
Houston
Chicago

In all the other games we played Spencer Rattler, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Michael Penix, Jaxon Dart, Jacoby Brissett, Bryce Young, Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward, Phillip Rivers and Caleb Williams.

Not exactly a murderers row of starting QBs. And half those mediocre QBs ate up this subpar D of ours.

If you think our schedule was anything BUT easy then I don't know what to say. 12-5 is great but put some perspective it that record. Let's see what happens when we face an Eagles team this weekend.

That said, if we lose, I'm positive there will be a laundry list of excuses.

The real question is, what excuses will YOU make to undermine this team and its coaching if they beat the Eagles?

I will be just as happy as all the rest but I'm not holding my breath. This regime has left me disappointed enough times to not expect anything from them.

You sure about that? Haven't seen you express your happiness or satisfaction with this team during a season full of adversity. If anything, you undermine them every time they succeed. I'm not buying that "I will be just as happy" BS when you've set a clear precedent for yourself here.

The tree doesn't. Morris fired. Staley fired.

Be the same spin it always is. Lucky.

Why? It's not my team.

Just trying to provide some perspective here.

He agreed to go and we had a deal in place. They had a contract agreed to as well.

Then Shanahan backed out at the last minute and the rest is history.

If Aiyuk had a deal with Pitt done he would've been sent there. He chose to sign the 9ers deal instead. He signed the same offer the 9ers had originally offered.

Mike McDaniel now fired.

I remember early in 2022 when half this site was saying he was the real genius and Kyle was getting exposed without him. Good times.

I'm trying to understand this thought process.

This doesn't prove anything except the owner made a move that he deemed necessary.

when browns fired belicheck did that mean he was a s**t coach?

when the raiders fired gruden did that mean he was a s**t coach?

when the bucs fired dungy did that mean he was a s**t coach?

when the eagles fired Reid did that mean he was a s**t coach?

when saleh was fired by the jets did that mean he was a s**t coach?

the argument is so flawed.

He's a worse head coach than Kyle despite what everyone was trying to claim in Week 3 of 2022. Period. Full stop. There's no debating this after today. Dolphins owner decided it was worth firing him just for a CHANCE at John Harbaugh. Nobody would decide that if they already had Kyle.

Your boy might still make a good OC though. Hang in there!

So Dolphins owner is all knowing. Got it.

... and I've already stated the fact Shanny rather lose a Super Bowl with his hand picked QBs that he's not ALL IN than WIN one w/a future HOF QB that will get majority of the credit.

You've said a lot on this board. Most of it being a bunch of bull.

Simply making up an opinion you have doesn't make something factual. Just amazing how you all love to ignore Shanahan trying to pull Aaron Rodgers away from one of his good friends in Matt LaFleur.

Literally trying to swat away any fact that shows your point as nothing but fiction.

They didn't lose3 first round picks in the Lance deal. They traded up and used a first rounder to take Lance. You can call that losing a pick since he didn't work out but actually they moved up from 12 to 3 in 2021 and gave up their 2022 and 2023 #1 picks. That's 2 first rounders they lost. The trade also included a 3rd rounder to Miami.

Since so many like to hoard draft picks so look what Miami has done since the trade. Nothing. Zilch. The Niners have been to 2 NFC title games and one SB. Granted it wasn't because of the trade which obviously failed but they didn't let it stop them.

who cares how Miami turned out w/all the picks they got from us..

I dont remember ever seeing that trade talked about. Even so was Aiyuk agreeing to go there or did he only want Washington?

He agreed to go and we had a deal in place. They had a contract agreed to as well.

Aiyuk was the one who decided to sign the offer that was in front of him for a while and Shanahan understanding what a legit X WR does to his offense(check the Seahawks game as an example of not having one) ran up to the front office to nix the trade.

Right. If Aiyuk had decided to take the Steelers offer first he'd be a Steeler. He chose the same 9ers offer that was always on the table. He didn't really want to go to Pittsburgh. But Steelers weren't gonna green light a trade without an extension.
