You either praise Shanahan and bow at his feet or you aren't a true 49er fan. We get it. That's how you try to end an argument. "Agree with me or you're not a true 49er fan"

The real defense mechanism is at the end of the day at least we "made it to two Superbowls" right?

No you're just being flat out stupid and emotional.

Nick foles, Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are not better QBs than Dan Marino and Jim Kelly, yet that's the Kyle hater club's whole defense on why Kyle needs to go. Be objective for once.

Do you think Dan Marino and Jim Kelly would trade all their stats for one ring? Or do you think Ravens fans would trade 10 years of Marino and all those stats or one year of Dilfer and a ring?

No-one is claiming those guys are better than Dilfer or Foles. No-one is claiming that Doug Peterson is better than Shanahan but at the end of the day they have Championship rings and Shananan, Marino and Kelly are just another guy who couldn't get it done when it mattered.

At the end of the day this game is judged on how many Championships you win.

I remember watching the SB win in 1994 vs the Chargers and that was 30 years ago. I remember Jerry Rice and Rickey Watters torching that D with Steve Young. I'd trade every single stat and NFCCG and SB loss for one more Championship. Nothing else matters.

Your rebuttal in the first paragraph has absolutely nothing to do with the context of what you consider a "good/great" HC or player. That means nothing in this convo.

so let's try again, using YOUR criteria for what makes a player or HC great…Nick Foles, Trent Dilfer, Joe Flacco, and freaking Brad Johnson are BETTER than Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. that's you and everyone else's narrative so at the very least, man up and say yes you do.

save me the no one is claiming b******t…everyone one of you use the no Super Bowl crap to proclaim he needs to be fired. Also what's the expiration date of a SB win? You guys clearly want Mike McCarty right?? Tomlin has wasn't s**t in 15 yrs and never with his own team. He should be the answer.

Kyle wins ONE more game, then he goes from being fireable to elite and can never be let go? Do you see how ridiculously stupid that thought process is? I mean you have to see how stupid and pointless that take is.

yeah I remember that game as well…it was over 30 yrs ago, let's move on. I think SF fans at this point should understand how freaking hard it is to get to a SB let alone win it.

To them they're right until Shanahan wins a SB here which they'd apparently be happy about. Maybe it's some sick defense mechanism. This way they get to celebrate Kyle losing games and wining them.

I mean this is a 49ers fan site so obviously those that post are 49ers fans. But to what you said it goes both ways. There are a ton of people on here who view this team with rose colored glasses and think they can do no wrong and every player has promise at the same time the KS is a terrible HC crowd is pretty much "only my take is right". If you took a poll of owners I bet the only coach that would be above him would be McVay. KS is good. He can be incredible stubborn at times and his play calling and personnel choices can sometimes be questionable, and I put a ton of blame on him for the second SB loss especially not knowing the OT rules that was a big blunder but that doesn't mean he's not a good HC. He is a top 3 offensive mind in the game. The players seem to enjoy playing for him, The team under him has had a lot of success and other than JH he's been the bet 49ers coach since Walsh.

I think a lot the issues with this team stems from a lack of talent. Jennings and Glass are good WRs but far from great so there really isn't a true #1 we sort of have a bunch of #2s and #3s. CMC has clearly slowed down and we don't have an explosive back up RB to help alleviate some of his burden and we just can't seem to draft that spot well at all. We all know how bad the OL is despite what PPF says and Purdy IMO is very Jimmy G'esque. He's good and you can win with him but he has got limitations.

I would love to see Kyle with a QB like Josh Allen and WR that can constantly win 1 on 1. I bet we would see completely different sides to KS.

Kyle had a chance to get the best QB ever and then got outbid on the MVP of the league this year.

The only one to blame for Shanahan not having a "Josh Allen" type QB is himself.

Let's move on? What's the point of being a fan then? 2nd place is good enough for you? Well it's not for me.

As for the QB debate, since the end game is SB wins I'd say Dilfer, Foles, Flacco and Johnson are better QB's than Marino and Kelly while Marino and Kelly are the better football players.

I could care less about stats.

If you watch hockey use this analogy, Connor McDavid is the best offensive player in the game while Nathan MacKinnon is the best player. The Oilers will never win with McDavid because of the way he plays while the Avalanche already won with MacKinnon because he does the little things.

Give me one year of Dilfer vs 10 years of Marino all day long if it means getting a SB win.

you mean Brady ?? close, but he is the 2nd BEST QB EVER..not THE BEST..

Anyhow, I have posted this over and over... and to this point, Shanny did not want Brady because Tom would have gotten most of the credit had he brought another RING to Camelot... Shanny not having that, he rather lose with Grappy so that he can point the blame on him, than win a Super Bowl with Brady or Staff or Aaron.

so last year and again this year, he started the BS of how he saw in OTA that our 7th rounder was better than Baby Face Lance.
Andy (everyone's favorite HC in here) really got into his bag this yr when Mahomes went down, huh? Avg 12.5 pts per game and went 0-4.

Wasn't Brady's last year in NE very average and the talk was he was slowing down? I don't think people saw him picking back up like he did in TB.

I think the whole team was burned out at that point. With how many Postseason games they had to go through every year, I think they were happy to lay down and rest after Mahomes went out.

Why do you, Kyle fans, get all salty when discussing successful, SB winning coaches?

Every single team had a chance to get Mahomes. KC came up from like 24th overall. Acting Iike Kyle was alone there is rewriting facts to push a narrative.

Stafford was never gonna go to SF if LA wanted him, his wife wanted him in LA, they had Goff to give up and a relationship with the lions GM.

blanket statements don't mean s**t without context.
