Last year was just an aberration for Matt Ryan. He's just returned to who he's always been. This year is on par with his career average. Not even sure if you can blame it on losing Shanahan since he didn't play any better his first year under Shanahan.

Well he won the MVP with Shanahan as his OC.

And his QB coach was Matt LaFleur who is the OC in LA were Goff has 20 TDs and 6 INTs.

It took matt Ryan a year to be comfortable in shanny's offense. Play action was a work in progress for him but when he figured it out...
I'm happy for Kyle getting a win over his old team.
Coach needs to do his job and get those penalties cleaned up.

Crappy players commit penalties. A crappy offensive lineman is going to grab on to a defensive lineman that beats him and hold on for dear life. As the players get less crappy, it stands to reason that the penalties will go down.

Moreexperience helps in that area too.

The penalty b******t again.....
Can't wait to see what Kyle can do with a full offseason with Jimmy G and this offense. More time and experience along with a better o-line and more weapons should be great for this team!

Romanowski hammers Del Rio, says 49ers have 'half the talent' as Raiders but play harder

Former Raiders and 49ers linebacker Bill Romanowski has never been one to pull punches when discussing Bay Area football. And, true to form, Romanowski hammered Oakland and its coach Jack Del Rio on "Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs" Friday on 95.7 The Game.

"I'm just going to put it bluntly, I wish I could see the Raiders play with that sense of urgency that the Niners play with right now," Romo said. "That's what I think is frustrating me is the Niners have half the talent — if that — but they're out there flying around, playing at a higher level than the Oakland Raiders."

While it is impossible to quantify subjective truths such as effort on a football field, the eye test did show a 49ers team that was infused by the presence of their new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

It's pretty much a guarantee we'll see some coaching staff changes this offseason, right? Shanahan didn't get a chance to put anything together until February.

I wonder who he could bring in...

If they win the next 3, I doubt if there will be any changes in the coaching staff.

i think the team bought into the hype and they expect to coast the regular season like the pats do. But ya gotta play hard all the time.
Sometimes you have too many divas. Good players but the team first mentality is lacking.
