Get him with what? The Raiders aren't just going to give him away and the Niners don't have much room to fit in a $30 million per year DE.

What Ben Johnson does literally happens every year. Someone goes from worst to first. No coach, not a single one, could survive was Kyle has had to deal with this year.

The 2010 Packers won the Super Bowl with 15 players on IR. They lost two key players in the SB — Charles Woodson who was team captain and Donald Driver one of their main wide receivers. They OVERCAME those obstacles and won the Super Bowl.

Mike McCarthy was not COTY in 2010 when they went on that run. Bill Belichick was.

Highly doubtful Kyle wins it this year. Most likely Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel.

I doubt Shanahan will win also because unlike you most people expect good things from him.

The voters usually go for the worst to first situation and Vrabel has a great chance at it imo since the rebuild wasn't so clear. Ben Johnson came in and added I think 3 starters in free agency on the OL. That's a pretty big change.

Pats obviously made some big additions in free agency but also got rid of a bunch of guys considered solid players from the year before(we got one of them)

They also don't have the high end skill players like Chicago does so it's even more impressive imo.

I do think your Packers analogy isn't close to what's happening here. The guys they lost were nowhere at the level of Bosa and Warner. Nor did they have to go to their backup for as many games as we did. And Driver was their WR4 that season.

I doubt the biggest homers on this board would've expected us to be playing for the chance at the 1 seed in week 17 if they were told Aiyuk would never play for the team again, Bosa would be out for the year in week 3, Warner week 6. Our top draft pick would be out in week 10(or whenever that was) Purdy, Pearsall and Kittle would miss a handful of games.

Whether Kyle wins or not doesn't change the fact that he's doing a hell of a job this season, even if you'd never admit it.

COTY is voted on at the conclusion of the regular season before the playoffs

And if we're talking for the final stretch of the season, that would require the Raiders cutting him that's not happening lol

I was def referencing in the off season. I know it's a pipe dream but man him and Bosa with Mykel, West, and Collins would be gorgeous. A man can dream.

i hope we can get another pass rusher next year, someone like aging Chris jones would be incredible. Once again, pipe dream, but I can as a fan. lol

Reality is that we have 2 core assets that KC would love - BA & MAC10. They desperately need both in, so I don't view us getting quality players out of them as unreasonable, it's really the contracts for Chris jones or Mcduffie (who will call for a massive extension). I also would hate KC to play us again and freakin Aiyuk is against us with Mahomes. Lol

Raiders owner hates 49ers and won't play ball pretty much. 49ers offered a massive deal, bigger than the bears, for Khalil Mack but the owner said no cause he hates 49ers. Lol

Personally for reasons you've mentioned among others; I think this is the best coaching job by Kyle yet. Whether we make the SB or not; it's freaking impressive by any standard in any era…..period.

I really don't buy the notion that Mark Davis is willing to screw his own team over of extra assets just to spite a team that doesn't even play in the same conference or even state anymore.

I think the 2018 Khalil Mack trade was simply "the Bears with Mack will have better 1st-round picks than the 49ers with Mack" and that was that. It makes even less sense to just screw the 49ers over now that they're in Vegas.

If Crosby is really, truly available, and the 49ers offer enough, the Raiders will say yes. It's that simple. I don't think it happens for a multitude of reasons, but "Mark Davis hates the 49ers" just isn't one of them, IMHO.

The most ironic part is, there's this massively-believed narrative that we played a cupcake schedule and that's why we're a playoff team… but when we're done playing the Bears and Seahawks our final SOS is going to end up around .485. That's not THAT easy of a schedule.

As much as I hate the way Kyle has come up short in Super Bowls, it's truly amazing how he has gotten this team through this season with the ridiculous amount of key injuries this team has suffered. Hopefully he can keep this pace and build on it over the next 5 games and accomplish something that no other coach has done.

Looking at the strength of schedule at the beiginning of the year is a litte silly. Every year there are teams that take a big jump and rise up while others fall. Injuries often are a major factor. There really aren't any easy schedules because teams are more evenly matched in the NFL. Look how quickly NE came back while Detroit and KC dropped down.

Yeah you just have to look at our Division to see that we did not have an easy schedule this year.
