SB rules don't allow for a tie btw. Seattle needed to win the game a tie wouldn't help them. There was less than 4 minutes left on the clock. Had they tied it up odds are they lose that game or it ends in a tie.
If you're going to compare then do it right.
Straw man arguments I never made...never said it would be simple
But we would have gone for the TD on 4th down instead of settling for the FG
1 more chance at a TD
And who the hell would play for the SB tie?
1 play to win it all in the SB is something any offensive oriented team would kill for
KS made the wrong choice on the coin flip and it still hurts today

End of the day weird s**t happens in football games…Things that are out of the control of a HC.
Kyle and McVay are great HCs and 90% of the league (and their fan bases) would love to have them as their HC.
Both are great HC's. Both have made great decisions. Both have made bad decisions like all HC's have.
They are top five HC's today.
Also, the Seahawks HC is much better than I thought he would be. I did not think he was anything special before being hired.

Why? I mean we are barely getting by with used duct tape and bubble gum holding the defense together. The offense and special teams are doing good but you're crazy if you expect us to blow anyone out. It's going to be nailbiters from here on out.
I love this team and think the coaches are doing a phenomenal job at getting us to 10-4 but at the same time i'm realistic and don't see us outscoring every team we face from here on out.
Just enjoy the ride and don't put any unrealistic expectations on this team. Unless you want to be miserable jackleg like some posters in here.
Yup. This season is house money. Win Monday to get in the dance and let's see how far the ride can go.

Yeah I really didn't want McDonald going to Seattle lol. Good young HC for sure. I will say Klint Kubiak has rocked out that Shanny offense there…wouldn't be shocked if he's a HC in this off season cycle. That will hurt their offense for sure.

Hopefully it helps keep Saleh here for another year.

Meh there's not much in terms of a great openings as a HC this yr. He's got one more chance to be a HC and imo he will have a good chance next yr to get something better (with a better defense behind him in SF).

McVay went out and aggressively pursued that HOF quarterback. Kyle traded 3 first round picks for a bust. Also stuck with JimmyG for an extended period of time when he could've done better. Passed over guys like a Mahomes for Kirk Cousins. We can downplay McVay's success all we want, but the reality is McVay has done a much better job putting a team together than Kyle has. McVay lost a SB, learned from his mistakes, then went onto win another one and possibly has his team poised to win another. Kyle lost a SB, then lost another to the same team.
I don't care much for Pederson or Arians. But Sirriani did win one with a lesser non HOF QB. And yes I know everyone will point toward the GM for their success but coach gets credit for that monster game plan against KC that put them out of their misery before you could blink. Same coach that lost to that same team 2 years prior, but learned from their mistakes and adjusted. We didn't.
McVay realized he couldn't win anything with Jared Goff a #1 overall pick who wasn't able to elevate his playcalling beyond 3 points in the SB vs a much less impressive defense than the one the Chiefs put on the field in 2023.
He found a favorable situation with Stafford getting paid too much on a team that was about to go full rebuild mode and had an inside man as the GM of the Lions.
Don't recall who it was(could've been you) but people acted like Shanahan was on vacation and didn't care about the move...meanwhile McVay was literally in the same location on vacation as well. He simply had an offer the former Rams employee wanted more and took it.
If anything Kyle panicked because of the move the Rams made to get Stafford and tried to get Aaron Rodgers but Packers told him to F off. Guess that move wasn't aggressive enough for you even though it was aggressive enough that LaFleur, who was Kyle's friend basically gave him the cold shoulder that season.
And once again sine you seem to pick and choose what you read - Sean McVay won his SB after his DEFENSE held the other team from scoring with a 3 point lead.

Yeah it was reported that Kyle tried getting Stafford all the same, he was told by someone that they had until tomorrow to figure it out, then it happened right after he was told that.
It's business, Stafford's wife said she wanted them to go to LA the year prior to the move. Then you got the LA connection with Holmes and Goff. s**t wasn't gonna happen. Now they got Stafford and we got Brock.
I don't think it was panicking either, they were getting a QB that off season. It was regarded as a good draft there. Covid f**ked up the scouting process but I have no problem shooting your shot at the QB position. Lance still could have ended up as a good QB if given more time. He should have stayed in school end of the day.
We got Brock and overall he's a darn good QB. Time for him to make his mark

Comes down to Pittsburgh, in the end I think they pick up Tomlin option and give him 26 then if nothing changes in 26 he retires. Thats when they lose Saleh
Think Saleh experience with an awful owner will keep him from the positions this year.
A late 9er playoff run might also.

Yeah I don't see Pitt moving on from Tomlin either, it's just not a great off season for that guy imo. Does Rogers stay there? If so is Saleh coaching him again lol?
if I'm Saleh, I know I can be the DC for as long as I want making a ton of cash here…I think all he will do is improve his stock and can be a little picky with where he goes next.
