never heard any current or former players complain about Kyle. he's highly regarded by the leaders on the team. especially Trent Williams. i'll take Trent's opinion over some poster who can't articulate his criticisms other than saying "im not the only one who thinks that way" congrats bro you and Grant Cohn share a bond. lol.
"I think Jimmy G is awesome," he said. "I think he has proven that he's a quarterback you can win with. In this league, it's just hard to find. Having a quarterback that you know is gonna make the right read, the right throw, that has to allow Kyle (Shanahan), a chance to sleep at night."
-Trent Williams
no lies detected in Trent's words.
you otoh have ZERO credibility on this forum. not sure why you still continue to post.
To disprove your facts.
that disproves nothing.
Trents words were correct. JG had some big wins.
He fell off. As every player does at some point.
He really thought he was doing something there.
Those comments about Jimmy G were incredibly PR heavy. They always mentioned his ability to win and make the right reads. That's not exactly praising the guy as the greatest QB in the NFL.
The comments players have about Shanahan are completely different. That's why Afrikan's comments earlier about him being a narcissist are absurd.
I actually didn't want Shanahan to be our HC because based on reports and my own assumptions I thought the guy was a narcissist and arrogant coach who was going to rub players and people the wrong way here.
I was clearly mistaken and while he has his beliefs and pet peeves like we all do, he's not dead set in his ways if people give him valid reasons why he's wrong or why the other way is better. Ironically some of the same people bashing Kyle don't seem to have that ability. Kyle listens to logic and reason and changes his mind. His bashers would never.
And no I don't believe for a second that Kyle is keeping a rookie WR on the bench simply because he doesn't want to play a rookie. Kyle understands more than anyone how much speed in his offense offers up schematically. The issue is you can't just put a speed guy out there if he hasn't shown he knows where to line up, where he has to be on a play, how he needs to run his routes, etc.
We saw it last year with Pearsall. He was faster than most of our guys we had out there at that point but he was making mental mistakes. He wasn't running his routes at the proper depths and it was throwing off the offense. Now Watkins can't just take the job because we need bodies. He has to show he can do those other things to take up a roster spot. His path to playing time was likely going to be speed and special teams. Sky Moore took that from him.
It's silly to turn around and pretend Shanahan is being a narcissist because of this move. Yes Kyle has his issues but I also believe he's looking to grow from his mistakes. I believe he's tried to account for several of his prior failures. Some of these guys just refuse to acknowledge that fact and stuck in their lazy narrative ways.
