We're making the playoffs and Purdy missed half the season. No excuses

Let's not forget an illegal formation penalty on the first play of the game which meant Harbaugh had the team practice their opening play wrong for two weeks. A literal act of God had to save us from getting straight dogwalked in that game.

Oh I didn't forget

I will likely never get over that SB loss. Broke our win streak and I legit was already celebrating the win in my head as soon as Baltimore took out the Patriots that AFCCG. I never expected us to lose that game...let alone require a blackout to even make the game interesting but never even feel a lead in that game.

Give Shanahan a team with virtually all 22 starters healthy for the SB and an opposing QB like Joe Flacco and he's not losing.

The only starters from week 1 who didn't play in that game were Mario Manningham(replaced by Randy Moss) and Alex Smith(benched for Colin Kaepernick, long before anyone figured out how to stop him)

Outcoached. Outclassed with a superior roster. Absolutely disgusting stuff.

Right. We lost that SB because of Harbaugh.
We lost the subsequent 2 SBs not bc of Shanahan.

biased much ?

Well according to some not making the playoffs or Super Bowl is a better performance than losing a Super Bowl.

Says the guy pretending the 2012 49ers weren't talented.

Ok. Give me one example of someone celebrating losing the SB as a crowning achievement. I'm tired of you spamming the board with this garbage. If you can find it then you can keep going.

If you can't then you take a break. How's that sound?

Talent wasn't an issue in the least bit in 2012. I can show you several coaching based problems from that game starting with literally the first play of the game, just like I can show you the numerous plays in those subsequent SBs where Shanahan had the team in positions to win the game but the players didn't execute as designed.

Can you do the same? Nope you just mumble something about Kyle being 0-2 and being responsible for everything.

9ers had the potential game winning play and Harbaugh couldn't get the damn thing in on time. There is nothing Kyle did in either game as egregious as that.

Show me anything like this about Shanahan

To get into first and goal situation with that OL, that 2 TE set and a RB like Frank Gore and not to actually score there is an actual coaching choke job. Terrible design that limits your options and doesn't play up to your strengths or takes advantage of the other team's weaknesses.

The one play that could've done that and Harbaugh calls the timeout cuz his philosophy calls for last second snaps of the football.

Meanwhile Shanahan has QBs missing wide open looks in the SB and gets blame or the backup guard decides to not block his assignment(only the other team's best DLman) on a play where two guys are open for easy TDs.

And the usual suspects are in here acting like Kyle choked but Harbaugh just s**ts excellence.

Or do it like Philly and win 2 SBs in less than a decade after not winning one with the guy you kept around forever…

All it takes is the best GM in the business making the roster coach proof.

Are we getting Howie Roseman to come GM?

ONE thing's for sure, both Jimmy and Shanny are part of the reasons why we now have the giant size L in the Super Bowl !!

Nope. We don't change denominators. Harbaugh absolutely is to blame for that SB loss, as is Kyle for his 2 SBs. We don't pick and choose our winners and losers based on bias…
