So we should start Mullens?

I remember before the season, Kyle said he doesn't do wristband for his qb because he wants his qb to not only call the plays but understands them.

But when your team is 1-10

I think he gave Jimmy a pass because he's still learning the offense. But next year he's ripping that s**t off lol

We've done a good job at making sure the QBs are coached to get the ball out quick and avoid sacks. We're just taking an astronomical amount of hits. I mean, if you recall, even though Hoyer got the ball out quick too, there were a number of times he got crushed too and was rolling around on the ground for a minute struggling to get up.

49ers currently lead the league in QB hits allowed with 94. So, on average, our QB is getting hit about 9 times per game. Contrast that with Oakland who has only allowed 27 hits so far, just a smidgen over 2 hits per game (they definitely didn't want to see Carr hurt again). We've got to figure out how to deal with that pressure.

Another factor might be that CK was prone to taking unnecessary sacks even when the pass blocking didn't break down. That's a common trend with running QBs.

Cuz even though our sack totals are a little lower this year, I can't remember watching a 9er line that looks worse than this one, except maybe in the early Alex years '04-'05ish.

He has a wrist band because he's only been with the team for like 3 weeks. lol

But when your QB is brand new and doesn't understand the offense 100%, then you have the wristband

Any chance Kyle's wife got the intern to print her private mobile number onto the 'cheat' sheet...

Jimmy already said that he's trying to learn the offense as quickly as possible so he can ditch the wristband.

I'll be watching the game on edge the entire time. Our line is s**t and I hope they have a bunch of short slants etc. to minimize the danger that Rop gets ruined like Hoyer and like Bethard did. I usually hate the mini Cohns articles, but he had one this morning that echoed my insight and fears to a tee.

Just until 2019 when the OL is shored up.
First 12 games: 2-10

Bill Walsh's first 12 games: 1-11

Shanahan > Walsh
