Honestly, COY is kinda cursed. Since 2011 the only COY that eventually won a SB was McVay, and even then it was five years after he won the award. Most of the others who won it were fired soon after. Johnson and Shanahan don't want that kind of award.

I never understood why Shanny never used the zone read near the goalline with Purdy. Zone read in that situation with a mobile QB is a cheat code.
