Coming into this year i thought we'd be lucky to be a playoff team considering the mini rebuild and how many rookies we'd have to play. Take into account the major injuries we had including the 2 most important players on the defense are out for the year, i'm kind of shocked we are 8-4.

You can't convince me there is any team out there that would be 8-4 if they had to deal with the same injuries we have had. It may not be pretty but Kyle has done a hell of a job this year.

Again, the teams we beat aside from the Rams where they should have won and Seattle where we were healthy are all terrible. The Jaguars and Texans D smoked us. Most teams backups are better than Carolina, AZ x 2, ATL, New Orleans and the Giants.

Coming into the year we had the easiest schedule in the league. A win is a win and 8-4 is nice but let's be real, I don't think this team right now is as good as their record. If Purdy plays the way he did last night in the last 3 weeks we will get destroyed.

The Panthers were 6-5 and beat the Packers. And Young passed for 450 yards just last week.

Why is everyone now suddenly saying the Panthers are terrible lmao

Coming into the year? Things do change once the games are played. Not to say our schedule is the toughest, but it's no longer the easiest. You also do realize we've been playing mostly with backups? It's impressive what the 49ers have been able to do. You seem to acknowledge other teams backups but won't acknowledge that's what we have been playing with. And I'll just go ahead and call false on most teams backups being better than those teams. History has shown how those other teams perform when the injuries hit. We see how Cincinnati looks and how Baltimore did look with certain players out.

This "settle down" everyone energy is weird coming out of a win and a horrendous rash of injuries seemingly every game with an 8 - 4 record. It's like you're not even a fan or something.

I've never seen so many "fans" hate on a coach who is 8-4 with a terrible hand. You're right. It's like these people aren't really fans, they're always extremely insecure whenever the team is doing well.

They just want to be right. They want to be the "I told you so" persons. They don't care about the team. I bet you if McVay was the guy Jed hired in 2017, they would say Jed was a moron because he didn't hire Shanahan.
Imagine hating on a team and a HC that are 8-4 with all these injuries.
Some among us put the fanatical in fan.
He's having a great year. And this is coming from someone who's been critical of him.

Maybe his best coaching year to date. Back off.

A few Questionable playcalls in big moments, but overall has been doing the best he can with what he has.

If our QB play was a lot better, then this offense would be humming.
I've supported Kyle all along since he became coach but I really think he needs to start using Robinson more in the backfield. Last night waqs ridiculous. What was it 8 or 9 straight plays with CMC touching the ball. He finished with 24 carries compared to 7 for Robinson. I'd like to see it more evenly split depending on the situation.

Agreed. Robinson is a great change of pace and he's a bully with the ball in his hands.

I believe CMC had a total of 9 touches by the end of the first drive

Good win and coaching from Kyle overall, though, but I do agree, we need to get Robinson more involved In the game plan.

They could insert Robinsonand still keep CMC on the field in the slot. He seems more able to make plays when he's in the open.

Why is he not using Guerrendo? He was such a stud for us last year and I almost forgot he's on the team.

Because when you have CMC, you play CMC. Not Guerrendo. I've been waiting for the pitch to a 49er receiver. Finally saw Kyle break it out tonight. Although it only went for three yards. But it put Brock in a position to sneak it over for a first down.

This team runs on CMC right now. There will be one or two other games where he will be needed to do this again. I do see his speed returning. Much more so than I saw earlier in the season. The cutting ability looks good too. He looks a lot like the CMC that carried the team two seasons ago.

A lot of those has to do with blocking - Puni healthy and Kittle back.
Man, I've had this bad feeling that Shanny will resign at the end of the season. I hope this isn't alluding to him:

Good teams find ways to win, bad teams don't. Do i think we get bounced during the Wild Card round? Yes i do. Can anything happen though? Yes anything can happen that's why the first step is to get to the playoffs.

More than likely Tomlin
