And people can say "Brady was 42 and declining". Despite clearly still producing with a crap roster. I don't care if Brady was 45 at the time. You don't choose Jimmy Glass over Tom Brady. Never. That's an easy decision.

Can someone honestly say the 49ers lose to the Rams in 2021 and Chiefs in 2023 with Brady? Absolutely not.

And Jimmy G just took us to the Super Bowl. But yeah critiquing after knowing how history unfolds shows real high IQ

Jimmy G did alot of things but "taking us to the SB" was not one of them. He was a passenger along for the ride and that's it

Quick remind us. What QB played great football at 43 before Tom Brady?

Easy to make these decisions when you have hindsight. Jimmy G certainly didn't have to do much to get to the SB that year but he did play in every game that year so the Jimmy Glass thing wasn't actually a thing yet.

Once again hindsight.

Didn't George Blanda play until he was almost 50? Nor sure it was great football, but you've got to admire his guts to get on the field against guys that were 25 years younger than him.

Played til he was 48, but only had 9 starts at age 39 and beyond.

AI tells me the great Steve DeBerg held the record for oldest QB to make a start (before Brady). Didn't verify.

but how STUPID is it to use Grappy taking us to the SB as the reason to not bring in the 2nd BEST QB OF ALL TIME??? at the very least, Brady would be a better 2nd stringer than anyone we had..

KYLE just did no want any part of any HOF QBS helping him get a SB ring... andddd that's the botttommmmm line 'cause 9mooooonnnnn said SO !!!!!!

Kyle Shanahan is a great coach. With all the injuries, this team seemingly doesn't give up. Will they win the Superbowl? Probably not. That doesn't prevent them from trying to win every game.

Not to mention that Brady practically begged us to take him. It wasn't even as if there was a bidding war for him. He wanted to be back for a fair price and was willing to play for two years.

Kyle botched it big time.

I see we can't even enjoy a blowout win.

Not when it's the obvious choice

Our crazies are letting us down.

But it wasn't. There were questions about Brady's age and how much he had left in the tank rather you want to admit that or not.

Sssh. DrL knows Brady personally and watched his workout that off-season and knew he still had a few more seasons left in the tank, even tho a bunch of teams passed on him.

Who are we comparing him to ? This isn't should we sign Brady or stick with Aaron Rodgers…. This was should we sign an aging Brady, or stick with Jimmy freaking Garoppolo. The answer is obvious, you don't need hindsight to figure it out.
